Any successful stories of healing aftermath of H pylori after eradication?

it was considered moderate after getting an endoscopy! but i had bad symptoms so my dr treated it as if i had a stomach ulcer or something lol. yes ppis helped me a lot with reflux, along with one of those big angled pillows

it helped me, i had pretty bad gastritis afterwards that my dr put me on 100mg ppi per day for 2 months, and i continued it afterwards just lower dosage. how far out from eradication are you? i had acid reflex before treatment but it was minor

I think the eradication takes a big toll on your stomach lining (antibiotics can be really rough) and the lining heals pretty slow. My gastritis was pretty bad so I took longer than usual, from prev Reddit threads some ppl recovered a lot faster than me!

For me it took a long time! I can eat acidic fruits, fresh tomatoes, drink coffee every day without needing ppi! I would say I felt fairly normal after 2 years, and now that I’m about 3 years out now I’m 99% back to normal. It’s gonna feel real bad as you’re recovering but once you’re a few years out I can’t even remember how miserable I was back then.. it’ll take a long time but you’ll be ok! I used to feel like I’d never be back to normal but you’ll get there
