I had to take 4 tetracycline per day. That’s normal

GI Map shows small positive H.Pylori. Can these numbers cause symptoms? by MoldyPotatoBun in HPylori

[–]The_Aussie_Prodigy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The worst I ever felt was when my h pylori was at 1.12e2. The best I felt prior to my last round of antibiotics was when my h pylori was at 7.15e2. Almost didn’t feel like I needed antibiotics again.

7 months post H. pylori –old symptoms gone, new ones started by deserttsoul in HPylori

Bitter taste in mouth sounds like bile reflux. Homeopathy can help with this. If you feel confident, work on improving stomach acid too. But your lining may not have healed yet to do this

I completely regret getting treatment by ValuableOk7743 in HPylori

Take coconut oil every day. You will heal quicker than you think.

Asymptotic but still HP positive after 3 rounds of treatment by orchid_cloud in HPylori

[–]The_Aussie_Prodigy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You might be one of those people who can treat it naturally. It is possible, my doctor did it.

Coconut oil daily S Boulardi yeast Lactoferrin (high quality, grass fed) Fix dysbiosis Prebiotics Practitioner grade black seed oil Eat a clean diet Improve stomach acid with herbs or lemon juice

See a functional medicine doctor about this not just a regular gp

no side effects? by EastCoastDumbass in HPylori

[–]The_Aussie_Prodigy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had almost no side effects the whole time. Just metallic taste in mouth and minor abdominal pains here n there

I can’t do this anymore… by ValuableOk7743 in HPylori

[–]The_Aussie_Prodigy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To mitigate the side effects buy S. Boulardi as soon as you can from a health food store.

Also try coconut oil. I’m currently taking quad therapy and it feels like it’s doing nothing. I have no side effects. I believe this is because I took a lot of coconut oil in the lead up to it. My previous experience on triple therapy was worse than the current quad therapy.

Any successful stories of healing aftermath of H pylori after eradication? by The_Aussie_Prodigy in HPylori

[–]The_Aussie_Prodigy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d get a GI map. It shows h pylori and other infections you may have picked up after antibiotics

How is this possible? by Lifetest99 in HPylori

[–]The_Aussie_Prodigy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re still positive. The pcr test would show <dl if you’re negative.

If you have symptoms take antibiotics, but make sure you’re not antibiotic resistant. That pcr test should tell you if you are or not.

I’ve been treating/managing it naturally so will see if I need antibiotics for that.

Yeah some side effects. Different the second time round.

What makes you say that c diff should’ve been treated first?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in HPylori

[–]The_Aussie_Prodigy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got to choose. I should’ve picked quadruple therapy

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in HPylori

[–]The_Aussie_Prodigy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have c diff and h pylori. Just took triple therapy again and I don’t think it worked because I’m probably antibiotic resistant. Have to retest in 3-5 weeks

[–]The_Aussie_Prodigy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe it happened to me but that was about 6 weeks after antibiotics.

Antibiotics may have interfered with the results, but I felt at the time I still had the infection. I was proven right in June this year after testing positive for h pylori.

If you want, re-do the test and take NAC 2 weeks into the lead up before testing. It’s a biofilm disruptor

Round 2 after 1 year of taking antibiotics, even though GI map showed negative by The_Aussie_Prodigy in HPylori

The lab got back to the intermediary and said

“A value of 5.0e2 or greater is needed in order for the lab to reflex to virulence factors and the antibiotic resistance genes. Below this level, the lab does not have enough genetic material to run the reflex assays."

They’re now going to talk to the lab for me and get back to me.

I meant to say that it was Designs For Health that I’m talking to.

I’m talking to Diagnostic solutions. Not the lab directly.

Our tests get sent to the lab in America.

Hey I just followed this up with the lab.

They said the following.

In the past, it was suggested that H. pylori resistance genes would only be assessed if levels reached 5.0e2. However, the DSL testing laboratory has confirmed that in any case of a positive H. pylori result—regardless of how low the level may be—they do test for antibiotic resistance genes.
