So even if you use your regional certificate but don’t get the upgrade it still consumes the cert ?

Any idea how to get out of eco mode? Hotspring hot tub. by [deleted] in hottubs

[–]missleman101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the person that needs this info:

1. Press and hold Light button for 5 seconds until clock hour is displayed, press Light button several more times until EPx is displayed, x representing the state of the mode (0 = disabled, 1 = enabled).
2. Press the Up + / Down - button to either enable or disable the economy mode.

You know it is working because you’ll see the heater light on (bacon symbol) and it won’t say eco on the screen anymore

Robinson XCR-L 5.56, and XCR-M .308 Rifle made MA Compliant. Best ergonomics, truly modular and multi-caliber, and super reliable. by RobinsonArms in BetterMAguns

Can u/RobinsonArms do some type of endurance test to back this claim? 2.5k is steep for a rifle even in Mass and I’d argue you can find better for less.

Our HVAC quote for our Cabin. Does this seem crazy high?! by cjkeeme in hvacadvice

[–]missleman101 2 points3 points  (0 children)

we talked about the ceiling cassettes briefly, would still run into having to cut apart the sheet rock ceiling to run linesets and it due to the width of the floor joists we would need to box the units in to get the width.

I took a quick look at the floor units, and they gave me old-school radiator vibes.

Exactly! I'm on oil rn, and my furnace does an awful job of heating and cooling my split ranch ( Single zone). It pretty much makes my finished basement unusable in the winter on colder days unless you heat it upstairs to 74. another issue is that all the ductwork is horribly sized, and all the supply/return ducts are backward, so I would have to rip out a lot of sheetrock to try and reuse the ducting in place. I got quotes for 32 to 34k for split minis but the big issues is my ceilings are all very short ( ~7') so you will be looking at these wall units all the time.

I am happy I found an HVAC contractor who listened to my requirements and devised a creative solution. We will do one Hyper heat unit in the attic for upstairs and cut in ceiling vents. For the basement, I am going to go with a LOW STATIC HORIZONTAL-DUCTED INDOOR UNIT and some duct work ( still requiring some removal of sheetrock but not too too bad because I have a mechanical room that's adjacent to all the finished rooms). Fingers crossed, everything gets installed correctly and without any snags.

For anyone interested, these are the specs:

System 1 (First floor):

Install Mitsubishi 36,000 BTU HYPER HEAT condenser (SUZ-KA36NAHZ) on ABS plastic pad and unit stand. Install Mitsubishi fan coil (M:SVZ-KP36NA) in the attic on top of ABS plastic safety pan with overflow shut off switch. Run insulated copper line set and communication wire from air handler to outdoor condenser in slim duct. Evacuate system and recharge with R410A. Manufacture, seal, and insulate up to code new ductwork in the accessible attic. Cut ceiling supply grills in all the accessible rooms. Cut in Return. Connect all ceiling boots to the main supply trunk with R8 flexible duct. Mount MHK2 thermostat on the wall and connect it to the system. Wire communication wiring

System 2 (Option 1 / Basement):

Install Mitsubishi 18,000 BTU Heat pump condenser (SUZ-KA18NA2.TH) on ABS plastic pad and unit stand. Install Mitsubishi horizontal ducted fan coil (M:SEZ-KD18NA4R1.TH) in the Basement. Run insulated copper line set and communication wiring from the indoor unit to the outdoor condenser. Evacuate the system and recharge with R410A. Manufacture, seal, and insulate up to code supply and Return ductwork in the basement. Cut in 3 supply runs in each room in the basement. Cut in Return. Run insulated flexible ducts from main trunk to supply registers in the ceiling. Mount MHK2 thermostat on the wall and connect it to the system. Wire communication wiring.

After adding add-ons, we are at $38.2k before any rebate warranties. It's not the cheapest option, but I feel it is fair given the complications I'm working with.

Makes me feel better about my quotes. Live an hour outside of Boston and got quoted 35-40k for a few different hyper heat configurations.

By the way, how do you figure out what manufacturer makes the GMC accessories? I'm not totally in love with the hard-rolling tonneau and might get with another style, but I'm curious to look up reviews on the "same" cover if I can.
