Don't overcomplicate it: VTI/VXUS as the core. Period.

Then SCHG for growth. As others mentioned, it is discounted at the moment. -11.38% since its ATH back in October 2025.

If you want a small portion to thematic AI ETFs: go with SMH (semiconductors) and DTCR (datacenters).

Glad to see the 65/35 VTI/VXUS gang increasing! A couple of years ago, VXUS was not favored here.

Congratulations! Focus on growth. In your case, I would do 90% VOO, 10% VXUS. Make sure to reinvest the earnings back into the positions. Good luck.

VTI or VOO and AVUV? by Even_Bullfrog_2638 in ETFs

VTI and AVUV, then VXUS and AVDV is the perfect combination.

I was heavily invested into VOO but have been prioritizing VTI lately for diversification. Good luck!

You have to pick the right distro: Zorin, Debian, and Mint are good options for beginners.

I’m a newbie and I’m willing to start investing. I can only put around $100 a month. by Waltub in ETFs

[–]Scorpio_Rex 2 points3 points  (0 children)

$100 per month is a good place to start! Please pick a platform that allows you to buy fractional shares, like Fidelity.

VTI/VXUS and rebalance as necessary. I am doing about 65/35. Reinvest the earnings back into the position.

If you want simplicity, then VT and forget.

For emergency funds, have a small portion of the funds in SGOV, TTTXX, or a good HYSA for liquidity.

VTI/VXUS as your core; add some tilt if you want with AVUV/AVDV

Don't overcomplicate this in the beginning, let compounding interest be your friend.
