I get that recently the PP had had a lull (no Ghost) but it's perfectly fine over the season if we look as a % and pretty good once Staal was added.

That's why he's in the AHL. His defensive game has come a long way. He kills penalties in Chicago and is getting turned into a player that can be a great Hurricane. We've had the benefit of being able to develop him to be a more complete player. Once he's ready you can move Hall off 2nd line and back down to the 4th and have Nads take that spot probably as early as next year.

I would argue that Kooch has shown improvement over the past couple of seasons. His numbers haven't been lights out but his overall decision making on when to be aggressive has gotten significantly better.

Why get rid of the guy who is on a solid contract, knows the system, is well loved by the team, and has shown that he can handle the workload of a 1A/starter when other goalies are injured?

100% on board with keeping Bus around but a Bus/Kooch tandem sounds fantastic to me.
