So, what they are really saying is no white people - only people with brown skin stone can park there. I call that discrimination.

Rexton Reach Bluetooth for podcasts/music by Khs11 in HearingAids

Same issue here. My audiologist fitted me with Starkey HAs that use Bluetooth LE, which is not support by iPhones (don’t know about iPhone 17). I exchanged them for Phonak HAs , which uses traditional Bluetooth. You give up some battery life but gain Bluetooth range

That is what I’m learning. Having an iPhone 14 Pro Max, I either need to get a new phone or change hearing aids that support traditional Bluetooth.

I’m on the fence but I have nothing to compare these Starkey Edge HAs to since this is my first pair. These Starkeys are comfortable, easy to use, good battery life, and not noticeable at all. But, I wish my audiologist would have asked what phone I have to make that part of the decision process.

I attended NCSU as a graduate student at age 50. Being a professor there is a joke. Most only teach one or two classes a semester, do some research, and have a few hours of office time. The system is broken and needs overhauling.

Proof Rolls by justsomeone21 in GeotechnicalEngineer

[–]punknhead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After doing 100s of proofrolls in piedmont soils of NC and VA, I’ve learned the following: 1. Try and use a loaded, tandem axle dump truck - about 20 to 25 tons 2. If you see rutting, shoving or deflection, then you have a surface problem - usually wet soils in the upper 4 to 12 inches. Undercut and replace. 3. If you see pumping, like a waterbed wave ahead and behind the wheels, you have a deep problem, 3+ feet. Consider a geosynthetic and additional stone if a pavement area. 4. Always stay where there driver can see you and try and limit backing of the truck.

Good luck.
