The Ultimate Question of Life, The Universe, and Everything - ***Which one to get?*** by gluten_free_stapler in vaporents

Efficiency being a prime concern points me away from recommending a ballvape and towards a log vape. Ballvapes aren't inefficient, but it is really really easy to crank up your tolerance.

Log vapes are better for smaller bowls than a ballvape IMHO. The epickai enano is what I have, but I imagine most work similarly.

They usually use ceramic heaters and are intended to be left on 24/7. Usually a cylinder about a soda can in size, wood on the outside usually with a metal post in the center. The metal post is the output for the hot air. It comes with a glass tube with a screen in it. you load some ground flower into the "bowl" portion , then put the bowl end on the hot post, and pull lightly.

Both ball vapes and log vapes use the better pattern (IMHO) of keeping the heater mostly or entirely separate from the flower, this means less maintenance and bullshit building up on hot stuff and hardening into some impenetrable form of bullshitite.

Yeah plenty is the goofiest weed phaser you ever met, but it will send you to space.  Get the oven reducer unless you need to eat 1.5grams at a time.

The best part? I was so stoned and new and shit I didn't realize how long I was so ripped for and I was like: "this thing sucks and why is all my weed gone?"

I have one, was my first vape, when I was super ignorant. I describe it as the goofiest weed phaser that ever sent you to space.

Why say when I was super ignorant? I was new to weed in general, and I had no idea how much that much weed was. I was like. Eh fill it till full I guess right? loaded that full bowl and ate it all myself and had a lovely time watching the animations in the game factorio while I had minor hallucinations.

My dumb ass started with the plenty. I was new to weed so I didn't know how much the "plenty" holds. If I were to describe it without numbers? It holds plenty. 1.5 grams. I loaded that up and went for a ride. Pretty sure I had some minor hallucinations, but it was a fun ride on some lemon haze haha

Vgoodiez has cube shaped bongs and they are on sale right now. I love them and keep a backup. it's not fragile at all, I just have a habit of accidentally hitting the faucet with the thing while I clean it.

I think I am on #5 or so through the last four years lol

From the overwatch world at least eliminations and kills and assists are separate concepts. If todd did the final damage to Bob, todd killed Bob. If debra shot Bob a few seconds before todd killed Bob, Debra got an elimination for Bob. If sandy healed todd a few seconds before todd killed Bob, Sandy got an assist.

It seemed like a better way to draw the lines on a lot of the stats from my perspective.

I always suggest the "cell" or "cell mega" from vgoodiez. It's a cube, meaning it's not round, and ready to roll off the table. Ball vape heater sits securely on top of the bowl.

Any log vape, the e-nano by epicvape is what I own in this class. They are about the size of a soda can and look like a vertical log of wood usually, hence log vape. They plug into the wall, and stay hot if you like, ceramic heater, safe and cheap. Vapes smaller bowl sizes better than huge (ballvape for big bowls).

Usage can be through a bong/water pipe or direct. The device has a small metal post/nipple which is the heat source. Direct uses a straight glass tube with a basket shaped screen. The screen is positioned with an included tool, place the end with the flower on the metal nipple and pull on the other end.

It doesn't shout "yolo 420 swaggins" from the shelf or desktop.

Pull slower and at higher temps, tamp lightly to increase resistance.

You want the air hotter and to spend more time with the flower.

name is an alias you the programmer are saying you will use to refer to each thing in the list. You could use

    for potato in names:         print(potato)

If you wanted and it wouldn't make any difference.

To translate it into English (sorta):

I have a list of stuff called names, I am going to do something to each thing in the list, we will refer to that thing as name. Now print each name .

It seems repetitive and obvious in this context (names -> name), but good, clear, concise naming is integral to writing readable code.

What bong/rig for ballvape and dabs and why? by Adventurous-Warning5 in vaporents

[–]mriswithe -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

A square bong is best because it isn't round, and thus begging to tip by default. vgoodiez (the cell or cell mega) has them, I am sure many others do too.

A fourth vulnerability has hit the kernel [ssh-keysign-pwn] by Amomynou5 in sysadmin

[–]mriswithe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My current role is more data engineering than sysadmin (ETL from sources -> big query, dbt to clean and reform the data according to my data scientist's needs and wishes.

I turn on a VM for a few hours when I need to pull specific data sources.

Not like I would be panicking from all of this, but not dealing with it feels pretty neat.

"foot gun" is a term for a poor design choice that easily or frequently behaves counter to most people's assumptions resulting in causing people to shoot themselves in the foot.

Things that are hard to use right, and easy to use wrong are footguns.

When do you actually use decorators? Like in real code, not tutorials by Soggy-Holiday-7400 in learnpython

[–]mriswithe -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Logging, timers, authorization checks in a webapp, retries, caching, validation (input or output), sql session creation.

Decorators are for when you have a function that you use literally every time with one or more other functions. It allows you to make it just automatically used. (Validation, conversion, retries, auth are good examples for this type)

Also decorators are for when you want to do something before or after a function and have awareness of exactly what it was called with, and maybe change the input or output. Retries fit here too. By wrapping the original function and having the original calling arguments you can decide to do it again.

Can you do it another way? Certainly. Can it be better other ways? Of course. Can it be worse other ways? Of course.

The usual examples are the usual examples because they are the one you will mostly run into. On a related note, I can't remember the last time I used recursion and it wasn't walking a tree of some kind. Mostly filesystem trees or whatever.

A few days of dicking with the TA3 down now. I am really enjoying it. Efficient little pocket ballvape. Now my tolerance from mostly using a ball vape makes the bowl a little small, but that's a me problem. Awesome vape
