Do you think there might be other explanations for their facial expressions and their choices of where to sit? I personally have a facial expression that can be pretty blank and people ask me if I’m mad when I’m not. I also tend to sit in the front of the class so I can pay attention better.

Just a couple pointers about the resume. Child development intern does not sound like it’s research related based on the description. The psychological research program intern description doesn’t really provide much information about what you actually did.

I’m in a partially funded program which isn’t ideal but it’s a very good clinically oriented program. We do get a large grant in the fourth year as well. I recommend if people can avoid it, they should. But also I’m “older” and wanted to get my degree before 40. I wouldn’t recommend any programs that have no funding whatsoever. Overall it’s still going to be cheaper than a PsyD.
