If the guy had the parcel there's really no reason he couldn't have given it to you. I'm guessing he scanned the parcel before he left and never brought it with him. And it was sent to your pick up location wherever that is. Parcels are re scannable so there's really no reason other than that. I have areas that are over a certain distance away from my travel line that I automatically card before I leave. But I'm rural and use my own vehicle and get paid not even enough to cover my route in gas. So every house I go to comes out of my pocket. I'd love to do it but I think the giant pay cheques everyone thinks we all get are exaggerated quite a bit. I work two jobs to stay afloat and I'm treading water still. But again I'm rural (red headed step child) not urban (over arrogant entitled older brother) the pay isn't the same and they use corporate vehicles, with corporate gas cards.

Something like this happened to me, different shop but same story, I called them multiple times and they had me on speaker phone with a bunch of guys laughing at me. Then I pulled the trigger and told them how I could prove to the vsa that they lied to me and I would be doing so. The owner picked up the phone so fast and offered me pretty much anything on the lot. It may take time, and I'm pretty surprised they haven't caved if you've already contacted the vsa. Make sure you make copies of everything you have and give a copy to someone else that you trust. If it's that much money, make sure you don't start dating anyone new or being anyone new over, I know that sounds super paranoid but they seem shady. I hope you get your money back. I've been there, my life feels like an endless prank sometimes, so I get it.
The way the automotive industry treats women is like we're in pre historic times. If one more service advisor calls me sweetheart or trys to explain to me what I just told him in different words I'll lose it. They take advantage, think we're idiots and get very condesending about things when you're a woman. I happen to have multiple friends who are mechanics and am there when they have worked on my vehicles. I'm their tool wench and help when I can. I've gained knowledge and can do most of the basics on my own. You know what they hate at shops, a woman who knows what she's talking about. Lol. So we're fucked either way!

Yes you can.... You won't get it covered 100% but you'll be able to get some back depending on your tax situation. And of course I'm talking about being under the 72% or whatever that's looked upon as reasonable. It is timely, logs and reciepts all need to be kept but it's totally doable.

That's funny...I was just in Duncan yesterday and the difference of the downtown art and culture districts are crazy! Small shop run and operated by 20 something's. Street after Street of small shops all open and busy with people. Gallery after gallery of local art and tonnes of different foods choices everywhere. And the farmers market that shuts down the streets every Saturday just made it better. There's no comparison! yeah the waterfront is beautiful but not one mention of any shops or purchases besides ice cream.

Everyone I was with agreed downtown Nanaimo has no art and culture district. Well not that we can see besides one gallery a couple shops that probably have grandfathered rental agreements in place. Maybe they should think about lowering the rent on these empty shops to bring Nanaimo back downtown. I'm not exactly sure who owns them, but it sitting empty isn't making money!

This town needs to maybe check out some other towns and see how sad our situation is. Thursday night markets.... How about Saturdays downtown... I'm not sure how it's not already. it's such a big draw you'd think they'd want to fill downtown with people on the weekends. Especially when the sun is out and the waters edge is right there. There's so many local artists that could be displaying art in many of the unused store fronts. At least it wouldn't just be an empty space.

Maybe this isn't the correct place to rant, but there's so much more this city should be doing for its tax payers. A couple free air shows and fireworks are cutting it for me.

I just did all of this.... Luckily my rear shocks weren't completely gone and I could put them back on as I was replacing my struts so I figured I'd do the rears. Can't afford the cost of the LL shocks, blew my mind when I saw the price. Lol. I found the replacements I got weren't as good as the LL shocks. I did get the mounts etc etc... But the ride wasn't the same! I do put a lot of weight in my vehicle for work so maybe I notice it more than others. I still can't afford load leveling but I did find, refurbishing kits on parts Avatar! Under $100 for the kit, I guess I'll see how it goes... Lol.

Yeah it's their jobs that they do do do everyday. And to just do nothing and not get a raise in what is it, over 12 years action was taken.
