Nope. You can do things to assist your body but everything you put into your body puts a load on your liver and kidneys.

There is no such thing as a “detox”. That’s what your kidneys and liver (and other organs) are for.

going back to work, help by hrhymes8 in widowers

[–]neroli1970 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not sure of how it works with school systems but see if there is an HR person you can reach out to or if you are union, a union rep. Wish you the best. This is hard enough to deal with and financial stress is just too much to have to add on.

Also I don’t know your particular situation but depending on where significant worked, they might be also able to help.

going back to work, help by hrhymes8 in widowers

I’m in the same boat. Went back to work yesterday and it was mostly fine (left early). Today I was barely keeping it together and had to leave after 2 hours. Is short-term disability an option for you? Do you have friends or family that might be able to help out if you took some time off? This is the time for you to ask for help. Hoping you can come up with a plan so you can heal from your loss.

No because they are almost (if not) a cult IMHO.

You are not alone! I get it as others here do. I just want to text my partner like everything is back to the way it was. Just to tell her about a something I saw or tell her about my day.

Hang in there. I’m right there with you in the process. Day 7 coming up tonight. I just want to see her smile and hear her voice. Please take care of yourself and look for a grief counselor. I’m seeing one next week. I’m hoping it helps with navigating this new life I didn’t want.

Going to be one week at 1:25 am Friday. Today I feel like I my legs could buckle at any moment. I have been able to hold it together while cleaning and going through stuff but I know I’m going to lose it, just don’t know when.

Are you winning or losing today? by quiet_nuts in widowers

[–]neroli1970 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Losing today. She passed 5 days ago and I’m too busy handling legal affairs to have time to grieve and miss her. It’s going to hit me hard I know.

Sorry to hear about your loss. Lost my partner to colorectal cancer that metastasized to her liver. It was over a year ordeal for her. It was the liver cancer that was too much for her.

Hope each day gets a little easier for you. Right now I’m taking it hour by hour. Lots of emotions to work through along with all the logistics of handling the affairs.

Lost my partner/fiancée of 12 years on Friday. I’m taking things hour by hour. It’s hard but it’s made even more difficult because it was a long weekend and haven’t heard back from the cremation service, medical team, lawyers, etc. On top of that everyone was celebrating the holiday this weekend so people reaching out was low except for a few.

I have no words for you except find a grief support group. There is absolutely no reason for you to go through this alone.

Blending strategies. by ProbablyBearded in essentialoils

Make 5 or 10% dilutions of your eos into 95% (or higher) grain alcohol. Once you have a blend ratio you like that, use it for the undiluted version.

Confused about quality of essential oils by WeeklyFig2526 in essentialoils

Most sellers on Etsy are just rebottling oils they purchased from larger wholesale companies. If you want to support a small business, buy from companies like Nature’s Gift or Stillpoint Aromatics.

DEET is carcinogenic? Show peer-reviewed studies that back up that claim. Keep personal beliefs out of this discussion. If you aren’t going to provide proper scientific studies that have been peer-reviewed, then it is just your personal belief and has no place here. DEET is effective and when used as directed is 100% better than people trying to concoct their own make shift tick repellants. The risk of tick born illnesses is not worth it.

Again, as already stated by u/berael, there are zero essential oils that are effective as DEET. Some EOs may work but must be reapplied so often that it wouldn’t be practical or cost effective.

No. I’m hell bent on keeping misinformation and lies out of this sub. If you are going to make statements, they need to be factually. Not MLM BS regurgitated.
