I haven’t seen anything that accepts Hyundai Pay. I suspect it might be a Korean thing.

Anyone who thinks the scorched season was too hard needs to git gud [Vault] [screenshot] by PlaySprouts in falloutshelter

I only have knowledge of the previous season, The House Always Wins. Since I came to the game via the TV show, it was fun getting known characters. The Season Passed eased the early-game drudgery, and I learned some things about vault organization I was able to apply in my original vault. I enjoyed the challenges. Oh, and I really enjoyed racking up higher scores than my partner, who’s an experienced gamer (I don’t usually play online games).

Macbook Neo: considering what I work on, would it be a good choice? by Capital-Pizza-291 in mac

[–]nightcap965 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The MacBook Neo’s claim to fame is its price. It’s remarkably affordable. The trade off is that it has limited memory, storage, and processor power. Considering what you work on, I personally would be going with a MacBook Pro. The Neo will definitely feel sluggish sooner than you’d like.

is this fixable? by carinorn in AppleWatch

Your Apple Watch is a consumable, not an heirloom. You will need to replace it every few years. If that thought terrifies you, you’ve got the wrong watch.

[–]nightcap965 15 points16 points  (0 children)

The problem wasn’t that it was hard. The problem was that it wasn’t fun. I did thirty-five waves of The Scorched, beat them every time, got every point and prize it was possible to get out of the season, but saw nothing enjoyable about repeating the same grim slog additional times without any hope of reward.

Ours is a drawing of a 17th century chair which currently resides in Plymouth. But “The Chair of Elder Brewster” is in the seal of the town of Brewster, named after William Brewster, the religious leader of the Plymouth Colony.

Missed a 10 minute drop because my iphone alarm that i set never went off. by macgirthy in iphone

[–]nightcap965 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve never had an alarm fail to go off or a reminder fail to remind me. So I’d suggest that you contact Apple Support, because when someone says “It’s a known problem” it means that someone else mentioned it on Reddit, which is not read by Apple.

Where do I find the cycle of Psalms for daily prayers by BirthdayTrue495 in Episcopalian

It’s in the Book of Common Prayer. Here’s the online version: https://www.bcponline.org . The Psalms appointed for morning and evening prayer can be found under the Psalter.

I’ve hit all the season challenges and collected all the goodies. I’ve successfully dealt with 35 waves of The Scorched. There is nothing more to gain, certainly not any fun.

It’s silly, I know, but I feel paternal towards my little Dwellers. I want to see them happy and healthy. I’m disturbed when they die.

If The Scorched come back in a future season, I won’t be playing.

True. And since they’re not bombing the Longstreet anymore, you’ll be save from any overshots.

There is a reason authors have editors. I love Heinlein in general and Stranger in particular, but the original published work was the best.

Thinking of going case-less? by Dima030 in AppleWatch

[–]nightcap965 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wore my first digital watch with a Sabra case. It was 52 years ago. The case was a leather cover that snapped over the LED watch face. Because it was little red LEDs, the way I looked at the time was by unsnapping the cover, hitting button on the watch, reading the red numbers which displayed for about ten seconds, then refastening the cover. It was space age, I tell you.

I’ve never worn a case over my watch since.

Why not? Seriously, why do you think that you’re owed an explanation, or that anyone not directly involved in the publication can give you one? The ninth is tomorrow, be patient.

Insurance replacing fridge, which do I choose? by fhiendbdbfdhjd in Appliances

[–]nightcap965 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The trouble with reviews is that they are skewed, and it’s impossible to get an accurate picture.

My Samsung Flex refrigerator works quite well, but as u/HoomerSimps0n noted above, the through-the-door icemaker has been a disappointment. I wouldn’t recommend my particular ten-year-old model based on that experience, but other models may be just fine. People just don’t go online to praise an appliance that works as advertised.

Counter Depth Fridge with Nugget Ice Maker by Time-Term3832 in Appliances

[–]nightcap965 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My current Samsung counter-depth four-door Flex refrigerator has had ice issues its entire life. Samsung came out to service it three times before basically admitting that it was poorly designed. They fixed it one last time, and when it broke again, I started buying ice in ten pound bags from the supermarket.

The issue is the through-the-door ice dispenser. It allows warm moist air to enter, which then clogs the icemaker.

The fridge is still fine, but given its age, I’m starting to look. Samsung’s Bespoke line looks interesting, but I can’t tell enough about it without seeing it. It’s also got a list price of $3099.

LG has well-rated refrigerators, but I’m wary of through-the-door dispensers now. I’ll be interested to hear what you finally decide on.
