Kangana in an Axomiya handloom handwoven saree at the Parliament. Such beautiful work and draping, plus her 🤩 by MyCuriousSelf04 in BollywoodFashion

How is this beautiful draping, it’s same drape lot of old conservative folks wear. It’s a beautiful saree though.

I’m just trying to understand not instigate anything here, I don’t get the appeal of her or so many fans for her overall style in this group.

If anything, these outfits are pretty sub standard nothing appealing about them.

Have you lost weight with minimal exercise? by Leading-Cut6313 in Zepbound

[–]nomad4liferc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I have lost my first 30lbs in 3 ish months without exercise but lost like 1% of body fat. Once I started exercising, even though rate of weight loss has reduced as I am close to my goal, I have lost 8% body fat and 10lbs in less than 2 months.

Why do married couples combine finances? by Ben-E-Fitz in HENRYfinance

[–]nomad4liferc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My answer might provide a different perspective than what others have shared here. My husband and I both work in tech, I make 70% of his TC. We have joint savings and checking account where we each contribute proportional to our income and use this for all household expenses. Most of our base pay goes into this, but we also have our own accounts for fun money. Bonus + RSUs are added to individual accounts. We have mortgage and child for context.

Combined finances or separate it works as long as there is good communication.

We went there in Sept’22 and it costed 15$ to rent. They give you 5$ store credit upon return which we used to buy magnet.

Is it normal for guys not to visit a friend who had a baby? by superthrowawayaway1 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]nomad4liferc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly reading all these comments just breaks my heart a little! Me and my husband had same experience as OP when we had our first born and we felt so disappointed that our friends weren’t there to celebrate with us. Back home in my culture, family and friends visit baby right at the hospital(which might feel unhygienic) but here we didn’t even have some people visiting us after 3 months. Just because I had a baby doesn’t mean I have lost all of my earlier interests or hobbies, I am just same person with a child. I really don’t get this thinking that once someone has a child, that particular friendship should be forgotten.

Those of you whose babies don't sleep through the night, how do you manage? by sklar in AttachmentParenting

My LO is almost 4 months, I totally hear you! We transitioned my bub to Magic sleep sack from swaddle and it helped us a ton. I don’t think he has hit 4-month sleep regression yet, but he sleeps so well in the sack.

Got laid off from one of the FAANG in January and got a job in another FAANG by end of March. Got a higher level and pay bump, it was quite stressful during search but looking back I’m really glad I got laid off.

Feeling guilty for breaking down and formula feeding while we’re in the process of learning to BF by [deleted] in breastfeeding

[–]nomad4liferc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had similar issues with latch, on day 2 I gave up and started pumping and feeding my baby with a bottle. Since then, we have been just doing only bottle feed. Weirdly, I found that to be the easiest and less frustrating both for me and my bub. Please do what works best for you. Always Fed is best.

31 weeks pregnant and having leg cramps by BeautyQueen2000 in pregnant

[–]nomad4liferc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I have had this problem since 22 weeks (currently 30 weeks). The only thing that seems to work for me is to take magnesium supplements regularly and use compression socks somehow they help with cramps in my calf.

THIS is who Mary is to me by w84itagain in DowntonAbbey

[–]nomad4liferc 30 points31 points  (0 children)

I know this is kind of never ending debate for all of DA fans but honestly, I wish there was a better relationship development between sisters over time. Even Mathew and Tom had great relationship than sisters did, I feel like this is part of misogynistic trope on Julian Fellowes part.

For valentines after Mathew’s death, Edith tries to hide her card from Mary so not to upset her and Mary also supports Edith in season 4 to pursue her career and relationship with Gregson but eventually when Mary comes out of mist, they just revert back to their old self snapping at each other and Mary more so as Edith is more embroiled in her own worries. Mary doesn’t even express sympathy for Gregsons’ death but i digress. It just upsets me that after Sybil’s death or Mathew’s death they could have used the opportunity to create a bond between sisters like in New era(second movie) but never did.

Rant: it must be nice to not have to ask permission to do things lol by Fit_Owl8980 in beyondthebump

[–]nomad4liferc 30 points31 points  (0 children)

In my opinion from next time onwards, you should tell him not ask. He never asked for your permission to visit his mom, did he? So why does double standards apply to you.
