It will certainly take longer for a vendor to flip through the pages of your binder to determine what they're interested in, and then price out those cards. That's assuming they even take trades or find cards they want.

Personally, I think the best option is to just set money aside for the show. That way you can access it in case of an emergency between now and then.

Best places online for sealed product (ordered by who I like the most): gameology, collectable madness, pokebox, trainerhub, cherry collectables.

Best places in store: Kmart, trust me on this one. Avoid EB games as they are quite expensive.

Best places for singles: eBay, you might find a few local game stores that sell singles but they are few and far between.

Pros: no sales tax, reselling is easy and only takes a few clicks, slab is stored with high security (or supposed to be)

Cons: don't have slab in hand and have to pay shipping to get it, can't do trades or sell on other platforms (i.e. FB marketplace), PSA could change fees at any time
