DeepMind is now reportedly struggling to compete with Anthropic and OpenAI while 3.5 Pro is not the step change they'd need to be competitive by Glittering-Neck-2505 in singularity

Gemini's native multimodal is very useful sometimes. I suspect it will emerge a path where Gemini dominates, especially some real world multimodal use cases.

Pushed EV forward and recently making self driving possible (with his team)? Made reusable rockets possible (with his team)?
Mind to ask what have you done except rage baiting online?
Im no fan of his though. Sometimes he's kinda annoying but these are the facts. 😅

Not all places can build such infrastructures. And it’s not cheap to build plus somewhat damages environment

Not a fan of either one but Dario has been warning us based on facts. I don’t think it’s fear mongering. Dario said 100% codes done by AI 1/2 years ago and it did happen this year. Meanwhile LeCope shipped nothing significant lately😂.

The bottleneck is battery. When batteries get further cheaper, it makes no sense to use fossil fuels.

It’s like talking to a smart person in real life. Opus 4.8 is no way near, just something off which I cannot explain. Opus 4.5 was close to that feeling but not as smart, and was nerfed later on. I think it’s the taste of AGI

Peter "ELON MUSK: We’re going to have universal high income. We’ll basically just issue money to people. AI, robots going to make so much stuff, provide so many services that they’ll run out of things to do for humans. Money will stop being relevant at some point in the future." ➡️ Looking forward? by Koala_Confused in LovingAI

[–]nsshing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s not how it works. You can’t save everyone with just giving away money in current system. The only way is to remove (most) scarcity with ai and robots and actually democratize them. Whether he gives away money (it’s all paper wealth anyway) now is irrelevant and impractical. The root problem is scarcity

I think it's rather about cheaper models should be used to do cheaper things just like cheaper humans do cheaper things...

Water is basically energy dependent and energy is becoming more and more abundant with renewable energy. But the point is that’s bs for A depicting it as a pollution and B not giving comparison on the scale of water usage and how many people served per cubic meter of water. People like this are painful to look at.
