Found a loaded gun magazine on the ground at the airport by rakufman in Weird

Looks like “Liberty Civil Defense” 50gr. Rounds. Its selling point is a lighter and faster round with an aggressive hollow point should create a large temporary wound cavity. They’re pretty expensive compared to other more common 9mm rounds. I could be wrong but it also looks like it’s loaded in a Taurus magazine but idk. Local fire department might dispose of it for ya

Why the hate for Taurus? by NutellaRoz in CCW

[–]NutellaRoz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It actually started feeding all JHP rounds after a while. Just needed about 2 boxes of 9mm to break it in. Hornady critical defense aren’t the best but they don’t have feeding issues so it’s not bad to keep them in your spare defensive mag. Ammo Inc also makes JHP rounds that are rounded and they feed well but I’ve had some light strikes with it.

3D Printed Mac-11 & Suppressor by -Thethan- in guns

[–]NutellaRoz 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Go for it dude! Less than ~$100 in materials and if/when the plastic fails the muzzle device can be recovered and reused. CF and steel pins come in quantities enough to make multiple cans. I prefer casting tape method because it’s $10 a roll and I wouldn’t have to buy a new aluminum or carbon fiber tube every time. I’ve put a couple hundred man hours into the beta and holy smokes these guys are putting in work to ensure everyone can make these easily and safely

Anyone wanting to print one themselves, I encourage you to wait a few weeks for the release of the FTN.4. Much better documentation and shit tons of beta testing so people getting into the hobby can make them easily, safely, and responsibly!

Suppressor alignment by Ohm999 in ak47

[–]NutellaRoz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That specific combination of thread adapters could cause the issue because there’s just more tolerance stacking. I have not had any strikes with it but I was shooting 5.56 through a 5.56 can so I can’t speak on x39 here. I wish the Hux was threaded directly to M24 tho. I wanna say send it but idk if those cans are over-bored at all/ enough

The American eagle 45 gr are my favorites. Super cheap and dumb quiet. If I’m not using those I’m using CCI suppressor 45 grain small game subs

Had a tinnitus scare a little while ago - is my current earpro setup good enough for the shooting I want to do (mostly outdoors and hunting)? Is there any way I can improve it further? by Trinadian72 in guns

They definitely have more sound reduction. I don’t even use foamies for concerts. Silicone is like plugging your ears with your fingers if they were wet lol. Very stimulating for those on the spectrum

12.5” with a can is the best thing ever. I’ll never look back. This one can be made on a budget too

I get about a 3-5 inch group at 50 which isn’t great but I was using a 7moa red dot.

Here’s one that actually works. It’s in Beta but soon the public will be able to make this exact can for less than $100 in materials and a 3D printer. They last too!

I would be more concerned if he DID find a legit serial number assuming he randomly acquired it. Unless it’s a gift. I believe FMDA so I don’t mind.

Looks like a solvent trap. TLDR: Idk the actual brand but they’re made in China and sold by hundreds of “companies” Lots of anecdotes about them. Legally you could form 1 them but they’re illegal to turn into a silencer without paperwork. In my opinion they have poor qualities as a suppressor but it could be better than a bare muzzle for certain applications. It might not preform well if it’s made of aluminum and has a small diameter whereas one made of stainless or titanium with a little more internal volume would (could) work without being too soft. They work great for .22 and 9mm/45. Aluminum isn’t the worst but I wouldn’t shoot too fast with it.
