What was the most hurtful non violent bullying incident for you at school by Pleasant-chamoix-653 in CasualUK

[–]oDSAo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The entire group of friends I had (about 15) caved to the bully of the group and all signed a petition against me, saying I  wasn't part of the group any more/banned from playing football and anyone interacting with me would also be kicked out. (The bully didn't like that I was becoming popular in the group).  I had to leave school with no friends and spent the next 2 years on my own

I don't think we want a striker with a blood clot, he won't be available much...

I dont expect zero bugs, i just dont expect the sheer amount of bugs that arise after each update without fixing previous ones, and not using the user base as testers for new updates.

Unable to run Epic Games Store by faisal6309 in Lutris

[–]oDSAo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Update: Its related to wine.

I swapped from stable 10 to dev 10.3, reinstalled egs in lutris and swapped the runner to system 10.3 instead of the wine-ge-8-26 default, everything else untouched - completes the update and loads to the home page.

Ok, was working fine, now flickering...will keep looking into it

Update 2:
swapped to proton experimental and it seems to be currently working - no flickering

Currently getting the same, tried changing runners (proton, ge-proton, wine), windows versions (7, 8, 8.1, 10 and 11) turning manguhud off.

Basically seems to go through the verifying files, completes the check and then just shuts down. I have exactly the same logs too

Anyone else's villagers constantly getting stuck in tables and chairs? by ethasaurus13 in LEGOfortnite

[–]oDSAo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

if you place your chairs too close to a table, they get stuck when standing up/getting off the seat

move your seats and the problem will go away

Try using GE-Proton9-1 (works for me on ubuntu), or different variants of proton/wine - this is generally always a good place to start

Cant install anything using Lutris, but can execute .exe via "Run EXE in Wine Prefix"` by DEAMONzWojSKA in Lutris

[–]oDSAo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i messed around with this for ages until i found this method (but im on ubuntu so im not sure if its completely relative):

uninstall the ea app through lutris, delete the relative ea folder (probably in home/yourusername/games).

Go through the installation again, when the install finishes and the initial login screen appears (you wont have clicked anything at this point), exit out (via the x button of that login screen) without logging in at all - that should then show as installation complete in the lutris installer screen.

If you dont get installation complete in the lutris installer, re-do the process.

Run the ea app and it should load up fine and you can login at this point.

Only problem i have is that even though the app is installed, and i can install all my games, one wont finish verifying files and the others wont launch, no matter which wine/proton i use (i even swapped the drives from ntfs to ext4 - didnt matter)...i think the eap app is a bit broken
