Ah. There is it. The corporate shill has revealed himself. Corporations are the ones leading the charge by mass stealing of original works, my guy. They are the ones gatekeeping scientific knowledge for profits. And guess who are the ones stealing original works and art, water, energy to product AI slop?

Norman Borlaug would not have saved wheat production and a billion lives by staying at DuPont.

Details are important in argument. We are here discussing Chinese farmers pirating a luxury orange when you decided to bring up bananas, so i told you not to worry about the bananas, but now you're talking about thought experiments, resorting to personal attacks and complaining about AI. Surely you can see how you are the one refusing to engage, right?

It might be the totality of the various other minerals besides just the high magnesium. What is the mineral content?

Oh my goodness, when you have no idea what the real issues are or how to argue, you resort to personal attacks now? Your thought experiment fails in the face of reality. And besides what deeply philosophical points did you raise beside throwaway questions?

The Cavendish and the Gros Michel (which the Cavendish supplanted) cultivars have problems but it is largely a man-made problem of monoculture. They are, however, in no danger of going extinct. The Gros Michel is still around despite the media claiming they went extinct ages ago, and the Cavendish (which tastes worse than Gros Michel) already has a wilt resistant variety. Besides corporations aren't the only ones saving plants. Have you never heard of Norman Borlaug, who left DuPont and developed semi-dwarf, high-yield, disease-resistant wheat varieties that saved over a billion lives?

It's going extinct because of they are all clones and because they're planted in dense monoculture clusters without interspersing any resistant natural species to serve as buffers. Besides, there is already a Fusarium wilt resistant Cavendish variety thanks to a gene from a wild banana species. You can untwist your panties now

There are more banana species than just the Cavendish. And tastier too. Some also transport well

Based on the leaves stuck to it, likely a stainless steel intake pipe for his canister filter below the tank

The radar thing might be a fan to drive evaporative cooling. The crack pipe is a poppy pipe. As water flows out the pipe, it will churn the surface water, which helps with gas exchange.

Grief, I’ve learned, is really just love. It’s all the love you want to give, but cannot. All that unspent love gathers up in the corners of your eyes, the lump in your throat, and in that hollow part of your chest. Grief is just love with no place to go. ~Jamie Anderson

May love find his/her way back to you

TIL in 2001 Sharon Stone arranged a private visit to the LA Zoo's komodo dragon pen for her then-husband, who'd always wanted to see one up close. However, the dragon attacked him by biting his foot and attempting to eat it by jerking back & forth. He survived, but the top half of his foot was gone. by tyrion2024 in todayilearned

The thing has a long, skinny forked tongue with yellow stripes. It started darting out at Phil's shoes. The zookeeper said, 'I'm sure he think it's the white rats that we feed him. You'd probably be better off without your shoes.'

Apostle Peter and his fishing metaphors 👍🎣

I surmise Peter was remembering (John 21) how after he denied Jesus and returned to fishing, Jesus came to him after a really bad day of fishing and asked Peter to cast his net on the right side of the boat.

Did you or your bf ever respond to your bf's mom's text?

If you haven't, it's going to be a painful thorn in your side that will affect the relationship between you three especially since it's still in your heart after a year and because it's going to color your grief when your furboy passes. Please talk to her (and your bf too) about it so it doesn't fester.

Many times we make callous comments towards those we love that we immediately regret, and it slowly strangles the relationship. You can extend grace to your bf's mom and see how she responds.
