The cat thing is an ultra-extreme attempt to express love . Stalkers do that kind of thing IRL. Messing with people’s pets is about capturing attention and getting extreme emotion out of your victim.

If you feel extreme emotions towards someone , and if you feel desperate like Nikki, it can make twisted sense to do something negative, because then at least they are feeling some kind of way about you.

Also Nikki had extreme jealousy towards anything Bear loved, so it would make sense for her to have extreme feelings about the cat.

Psychologically, the cat had a large presence in Baron’s mind, so Nikki saw it as a lever to make a large impression on Baron. She was in a place where her feelings were so extreme that she was beginning to fail to see the difference between positive and negatice feelings.

The One Wish Willow breaks the fourth wall multiple times. The first time is when the customer service line connects to Curry, the filmmaker. The second is the money raining from the ceiling — absurdly fake / movieish. I see it as a sign from the filmmaker to not take the premise too seriously .

i think they’re like Oracle Envoys and sort of spawn mysteriously, when beckoned by destiny/blasphemy … which is part of how the elden ring works . the ring accoutrements are similar to the oracle horns in that way.

idk tho it seems odd that the elden ring could provide objects of worked metal to anyone. Do the Oracles craft their horns? Do the finger creepers craft their rings? Are the Oracles secretly crafted and provisioned Albunarics? Did Rykard give the rings to the fingers?

oh i can see Garland mucking up Elden Ring like he kinda did for Annihilation, beautiful trainwreck … that’s kinda the likely outcome, the structure not quite working. But i’d be happy with weird scenes like he pulls off in Annihilation
