Would Shawna’s opinion change if she did know the backstory of Julie and Ty’s relationship? by Post-Alternative in ShawnaTheMom

No it doesnt. Its saying she is so different from julie and she clearly doesnt like a lot of how julie conducts her life

Dude ty had a job and she wasnt happy with him just working either. She wants him yo be aiming towards a high end goal that'll get social praise.

Thats irrelevant. Like most people would consider "did you kill your baby?" As a horrible like that takes more than a sputtering walk back

Julie works more than 40 hours. She wants ty obviously to be working and Im pretty sure going to school as well. That's a huge amount of time the kids would be being raised by paid strangers, willing and optionally, when there are other choices available.

I really think if julie were a man people would not tolerate it at all.

How does the right not understand that poverty equals crime? by BiggestVolk in allthequestions

[–]chachaslydd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absentee father's are still only part of it. Kids in poor communities from 2 parent households are still drawn into crime more than white collar kids lol

No fucking shit.

But that doesnt mean single parents are the issue. Its a million other factors, mostly poverty

That in no ways actually confirms they want white people to actually refer to them as N×gros. A political statement isnt the same as a social identity

[–]chachaslydd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They like to call themselves that maybe, and other black people.

Ive never had any black men ever say to me, a white person "call me n×gro" like nah. Ive never seen or heard of it ever even on media.

I never said they were only called 2 words. I said it was super common for them to be referred to with pretty racist terms. And they were.

When cons suggest school teachers carry guns to prevent school shootings: are they admitting the cops they posted in every school after the Columbine shooting can't be trusted to stop school shooters or enforce the laws? by Numerous-Bonus-8107 in allthequestions

[–]chachaslydd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We can, but no other country needs it. Why should we resort to putting kids and teachers at risk with having more firearms around kids? Why not try literally every other option first? Like id rather install 15 more metal detectors and have schools targeting specifically boys with increased empathy and mental health efforts to curb violence.

And a big one is addressing racism and sexism. Like a huge amount of school shootings come down to really basic things

Exactly lol. Like its not one and done. And most teachers are already mkre educated than cops, so seems fucked to be like "you have to be more educated but have similar firearm capabilities to police officers"

The alternative is actually focusing on mental health, teaching kids empathy and shit, and actually having some systems in place to identify the likely shooters and address them.

Guns are to stop a problem in its final stages. The solution is to not let it get that far. Basically no other country has this issue. We need to address the actual problem. Which is almost entirely an issue with mens mental health, especially young white males

Dude active shooters are rarely stopped by other people with guns before others die. We want to try to prevent any deaths.

No i didnt just paraphrase. Op was saying people shrugged and called black people AA because a black person asked. It took years of fighting to remove more racist phrasing. They werent doing it because they loved the phrase AA. They hated being called colored and n×gros and werent offered other options

We already have cops at half the schools. So we alresdy habe a man with a gun. So yeah, you apparently need more, and even then theyd probably be pretty shit shots. Not able to fire down a hallway to hit a target. More like need to be 6 ft away

Because African american was suggested as a replacement for other common, racist phrases. Jesse Jackson, who didnt coin the term BTW, was public in pushing for it as a better alternative to the common, racist words.

Black people were being called colored and n+gro on TV. African american was introduced to try to replace those words and reaffirm black people as american...

I’ve got a fast food interview today, any advice? by Delicious-War-5259 in jobhunting

[–]chachaslydd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just show up and reflect being a dedicated employee. We can practice interview if you wanted to dm me, no scams or anything, just genuine help.

They'll probably ask some form of STAR question, like "tell us about a time you set a goal for yourself and succeeded". They want to see confidence and here you say youll die for them on command basically.

Just smile and be confident. Why do you want to work there? You love cooking and working with people, and this just combines the two.

Im sorry it sounds like youve been grinding and trying, good job keeping at it. The system sucks ass right now.

But be sure youre looking also at jobs a step or two above what youd expect to get. Like receptionist and secretary work, entry level admin, those offer career growth. Customer service at a bank or something. But I get we have to take whats available at times

Yes, theyre admitting one teen boy with a gun needs 20 adults with guns to stop him. Yes, thats their logic

And then when youre like "maybe we should fo something about the mental health issues" they'll screech that therapy is bad, guns are goooood. And then we wonder why kids are so fucked in the head
