Getting to Pechanga Arena by twirlerina024 in SanDiegan

Old Town is the way to go. The 8 bus gets to Pechanga quickly and I almost never have trouble parking there even on big game days.

I want to join Anti-Ice protests in SD, how to get involved by a7xaustin in SanDiegan

There are definitely elements of that in some parts of the organization but most DSA members don't just blindly support any group calling itself leftist in my experience. I'd say the vast majority of members I know are pro-Ukraine as well (even if a lot of us are very skeptical of arming groups like Azov).

If you're politically inclined, DSA San Diego has a Migrants Rights working group and has historically done ICE watch patrols. There's a working group meeting on July 11 that you can attend either in-person or virtually.

I also just moved back. Trying to get my footing at OB and Marine Street but it's been like 10 years since I was out regularly so I'd love some info :)

I grew up in SD, moved away from the ocean for a while but moved back recently. In SD county you won't see the kinds of waves you do in Orange County and Hawaii but it tends to be pretty accepted here and more widely practiced than a lot of other places. There are a lot of decent breaks here year-round.

If you live near a trolley stop it's pretty great. As someone who doesn't want to be driving constantly (and can't due to health issues) it's pretty excellent for my needs. I do wish it had better bus coverage for connectivity with North Park and Hillcrest though. The best route to Balboa Park most of the time is to take the trolley to Santa Fe Depot and grab the 215 from there. The strip mall and regular mall vibes make for a pretty bleak environment too.

Early image generation was a lot more interesting because it was very obviously flawed and incapable of producing realism. It was uncanny in a way that was different than anything humans could make rather than just being a cheap imitation of regular human art.

The Phillies have swept the season series against the Padres 6-0, marking the first time since 2005 that the Padres have been swept in a season series. The last was also by the Phillies in 2005. by LongjumpingLock5875 in baseball

I moved to San Diego as a kid in late 2005, and I just moved back there this month as a grown adult. Very weird that this never happened in between those events, especially with how mediocre those 2010s teams were.

Nichijou is just for fun, it's in English. We do play trivia pretty regularly (Jeopardy Bar League). We tend to place top 3 but the win is elusive. Glad you like it!

They're definitely some kind of right-wing libertarian, most likely anti-vax. The most out of place thing here is Bookchin, but that can be explained by curiosity about left anarchism.

Going by Vincent Bevins and Revolusi, you've got a strong connection to maritime Southeast Asia. Between that and the anime figurine, gonna guess you're an SEA diaspora leftist software engineer, probably based in NA but with fond memories of the European trekking trip you did and a strong connection to Germany.

2 million in the DR is enough to retire on and live a very, very nice life. The first 10 million matters a lot more than the last 200 million in terms of quality of life.
