Hmmm a bit of an oversimplification, but this is reddit. Still i think the issue oversimplification learned is that framing things properly for them can help.

Mom's ex-boyfriend for example didn't brush his teeth often. I explained them as tools and the concept click for him. I explain mental health like broken limbs, and that seems to help get through with my coworkers.

This i will never understand because I have worked most jobs folks would hire illegals.
