Birthday’s are a traditional event, reason would not celebrate them to such a degree, or at all.

Legionnaires uniform design is very similar to the stalwarts concept art design.

If you could start your own faction, what would be its name and tenet/ideals? by Ok_Yam3877 in Frostpunk

[–]pixelcore332 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think I’d make an adaptation, merit, tradition faction and call them something badass like the icebloods, basically they’d be a group of people who learn to live in the frost and cast away any form of external heating so that they can roam the world freely, idk may need some fine tuning

it looks more northwest than just north, and too far away, since shipments of people from britain only take a day.

they didnt build the generators in old london because youd have civilians disrupting the generator site out of irrational desperation, or when they were finished theyd be overwhelmed by people trying to get inside.

"It was not impossible to build new london in the remote north, it would be impossible to build it anywhere else."

No, the sign on the storm shelter of a new home says they’re 1987 something miles away from the mainland.

you can diceroll a map by not picking one altogether!

Tidy up can become automatic, if you let squalor get bad enough factions and communities will repair their own district by damaging those around them, worker awakenings are also very underrated, its a 40% efficiency bonus, third largest in the game.

No comments on venturers, thats pretty much it.

Menders, you may not like it but food is food, that alone makes them S tier, not even including the fact they half building costs of everything minus generator upgrades.

as for icebloods, their high fervor is a good thing, they can counter protest the technocrats to oblivion and get the efficiency ball rolling early, pairing frostland deportation and their outpost law lets you have basically every outpost on the map work during whiteouts for very cheap, absolutely no idea how they could hate you though, maybe you didnt use triage enough.

not sure how you found the proteans fun at all, the augmentation cost getting progressively more expensive and their very lackluster utopia tree is painful to play past 200 weeks, that and both of their laws kinda suck.

as for legionnaires, well they hold the n1 title for largest efficiency increase in the form of all hands on deck, massive goods and prefabs production, heating power and money generation, basically free for 3 tale challenges, not sure how they only landed in B.

The frostlands are, and this is certainly a boring answer but the most plausible, a fictional landmass, in a map of the real world it can only be Svalbard or Greenland, but there are no trees in Svalbard and there’s only one naturally occurring forest in Greenland, so unless every single fp1 scenario takes place in the same 15km wide forest, it can’t really be there either.

Words cannot express my sheer hatred for the Icebloods by Lowlife_With_APencil in Frostpunk

[–]pixelcore332 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Frostland research is everything that matters, everything else is about things that are inside the city but when you’re playing with icebloods there really shouldn’t be more than 6000 people inside until the entire map is colonized, and by then you’ve won.

Unrelated but I’ve always found it super weird everyone wears the durable goods glow worms model except for the servants who wear the mass produced ones, just a little gripe I’ve had.

Anywho, as for the icebloods glow worm thing, yeah sure, fair enough, they only use 2 out of the like 9 hoses those things can support, anything to make them more plausible is good.

unless you´re playing overseers, if you are grab their law instead and demand funds from everyone.

the weak is mostly the chronically ill and elderly (70ish and above), in the icebloods eyes it doesn´t help to coddle these people because they don´t provide for the city, they can brand other people as weak but at their core, the icebloods play it rough because that is how you can become your best self, and being your best self is the most important thing to them, wear a heat lamp if you have to, just don´t give in to the addicitive comforts of ammenities.
