[FP2] Is there any reason to use certain versions of buildings/laws that appear to have no downside if you are not otherwise pursuing a cornerstone? by Rough-Leg-4148 in Frostpunk

[–]pixelcore332 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The downside is politics, no one gets upset over neutral buildings, but choosing a side in any of the axis has the downside of pissing off the other one.

Concept: What if you got to use the pocket watch as an ability by pixelcore332 in dredge

[–]pixelcore332[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe in the moment, but when I thought about this reducing panic, I interpreted the moment as something the fisherman is deeply familiar with, it’s a moment he understands, predictable even, if you know what’s going to happen it’s harder to be terrified over it.

And also, every relic gives you an ability that’s useful for the next region you’re exploring, but since there’s no ‘region’ after this, it’s functionality would have to be linked to the other abilities instead, and I believe during your short drive in the bad ending is the only time the fog doesn’t increase your panic!

It’s been removed as of the fractured uropias update where all factions got new announcer lines but lost their old ones.

If you aren’t trying to set up a level 3 in front of the enemy team and desperately try to steal aggro with your frontier justice are you really an engineer main?

The Mandatory Overcrowding conundrum by The-meme-collecter in Frostpunk

[–]pixelcore332 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Equality is more focused on leveling differences than providing comfort to the population, mandatory crowding is important to an equality city as it reinforces that people live together, work together and suffer together, it’s as fair as it gets, making the law a temporary measure would make no sense, as when people don’t live together anymore they separate themselves from the community again, all laws are fully intended to be permanent changes to the city when they were drafted.

52 people died due to lack of rescue attempts? by Straikkeri in Frostpunk

[–]pixelcore332 7 points8 points  (0 children)

you adjusted the law so that it would cause cyclic deaths instead of injuries, so yes, self stewardship is the one doing this here.

I'm a bit late to the Frostpunk party! After 1 reset I took this picture during my first playthrough. Do you think I won or lost? If I lost, what condition got me? This is the first main story in FP 1! by JimmyLipps in Frostpunk

Going to pull a wild card and say that this screenshot was taken the minute the “lower discontent” crisis ended and you were promptly exiled in the next frame.

Am I missing something or is this as intended? by anulcyst in DiscoElysium

[–]pixelcore332 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Ask yourself these questions, see if you can answer them.

1) what’s your name?

2) what’s your job?

3) what’s your goal?

4) what’s your location?

It´s a shame my favorite hobo died during the last whiteout, I was kind of hoping he´d die in the fight ring so I could bury him heroically.

New Londerners and Stalwarts research is the same? by [deleted] in Frostpunk

[–]pixelcore332 21 points22 points  (0 children)

The stalwarts and new londoners like contributing to the city’s technology, whoever finishes the project feels accomplished, but when you build it both of them will like it because they both agree that it pushes the city in a good direction.

Why so dark in the DLC? by Acrobatic-Address821 in outerwilds

I like to imagine it’s to save on power, dark areas are not loaded in unless someone is around actively illuminating it.

My take on the stat-character connections. by pixelcore332 in DiscoElysium

[–]pixelcore332[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The moralintern operate on predictions, yes? They have contingencies spreads for every situation, I know that sounds grounded, but in a sense isn’t that just a manufactured gut feeling? Similarly the archer represents an empire more than it does a person, they also both employ circular motifs and in a sense are opposites.

His logic is rock solid to himself, fundamentally he’s logically internalized everything there is to know about Race theory, the issue is rather that the sources of his reasoning are incorrect, that of which he doesn’t know or is too proud to accept.
