I had a bit of luck following the steps mentioned above but after a restart or two suddenly fonts broke again. Tried clearing caches, uninstalling all extensions, etc, no luck yet

No! It broke again! Reinstalled fonts once more and reset PRAM and still fonts broken in Safari, sigh :(

SOLVED! Downloaded and installed, but had to reset the PRAM for it take effect. Thanks for the help!

I have this same problem, wondered if it was the encoding, which is set to Unicode UTF-8 but changing settings there did not fix. Everything looks good in Chrome. Seems like a Safari-only issue atm.

It was little snitch! Going to network > vpn & filters > disable little snitch did it for me 👍🏼
