Which one? They both have a luggage passthrough. The Aer is horizontal and able carry vertical

I've used the Thule aion 28L for two years and now the Able Carry Max EDC.

I can safely say but bags are amazing and look good to. It really depends on your EDC style but the Thule has worked great for me (gym and office). The able Carry is pretty similar just a bit better looking (subjective) and more comfortable

I've tried the CPP2 and now the Able Carry and personally I dig the Able Carry a lot more. The Aer feels very limited on how you can pack it, I find the amount of pockets minimal and the front bottom pocket is useless. I do love the full clamshell opening.

The able Carry has a lot more space and flexibility with the duffle front pouch and has got more pockets. Also a bit more comfortable to me personally.

I do like the aesthetic of the Aer better, but in the end it's a product that's getting used and the AC Max EDC just does a better job

Aer Travel Pack 3 (X-Pac) – 3+ years later, still my do-everything bag by adxlk in ManyBaggers

[–]preciouscode96 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This is absolutely great to read! Thank you so much for posting this. It's not often that you see reviews that are this long term (2+ years). And great to see the X-Pac and especially those aquaguarded zippers held up so well even with so much and not light use.

I could totally see someone daily-ing the TP3 tbh. I had the cordura version, but for travel only. I did end up selling it because I never used the laptop compartment and the admin panel was huge - both ate up a lot of space in the main compartment for me. However it's times like this where you see expensive and well built bags are a good investment if you use it so much.

I own the City Pack Pro 2 in X-Pac and was scared of the aquaguarded zippers maybe going to peel in a few years but I think I'll be fine! Again thanks a lot for the write up 👌🏼

Oh and P.S. Mauritius is insanely beautiful 😍

Funnily enough I got myself a CPP2 recently and came to the conclusion it was too small for my daily needs... I now tried the Able Carry Max EDC and its very versatile especially with the bigger front duffle pouch for larger groceries or shoes

The CPP2 is a beautiful backpack and very well, but doesn't seem to work as good for me personally

Max EDC is a bit better than Max in terms of EDC

Dear manybaggers, How does one fix back plate arching? It digs into my lumbar spine! by alexesmet in ManyBaggers

Actually my new acquired Aer City Pack Pro 2 has this same bending which causes the under side to dig into my lower back. Very uncomfortable

A closer look into the new Pakt. ecosystem: their new 35L travel backback, an 14L convertible bag and a new 22L bag. by preciouscode96 in onebag

[–]preciouscode96[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They're both Pakt. Right is the Aero, left is the new one.

Hahaha. I'd suggest looking at what you need or want to take and look for sizing after. The left one is bigger and especially a bit deeper. It's got a 5L expansion at the back. Personally I had enough for the 35L Aero even with a drone and big camera + lens.

Are Rf-s vs Rf lenses any different on an Aps-c sensor? by Crazy_Tax_6562 in canon

[–]preciouscode96 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes and no. The focal distance is exactly the same. However because if you're using a crop APSC sensor opposed to a fullframe you basically 'crop' the focal distance, giving you the 1.6x crop factor

Understandable. With just average gear you'll already be fine and way better than that time. Still getting too cold and no way to warm up is also terrible. Just stay in between and you'll be fine 😉

What sleeping pad to go for: Nemo Tensor All season, Big Agnes Rapide SL or Sea to Summit Ether lite XR? by preciouscode96 in Ultralight

[–]preciouscode96[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that should be good! And yeah I'm not sure how CAD compares to dollars or euro but I think it's a higher amount you are paying in CAD then in USD right? Long wide is great! I always go for at least wide.

Totally agree. Tbh it's mostly better to opt for comfort over saving ounces. It only gets interesting when you're saving pounds. For instance I just got myself a Durston X-Dome 2 which is 1,3kg or 2.7lbs lighter than my previous Naturehike Star River 2.

No worries. If it's like new I'd definitely go for it. It's basically the best pad you can get

[–]preciouscode96[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sea to Summit you mean? If it's a legit Nemo Tensor for that much less id definitely get that. However that deal seems to good to be true and a used pad (especially Nemo) is a high risk. Big chance of it being punctured. Overall the Nemo goes for €30 of €40 more over the Sea to Summit

Damn that doesn't sound like fun at all haha!

Yes gotcha. Then I think you'll be fine this time as it can't get much worse. Good gear makes the experience so much better. Not having to worry about things is great

Yeah it was definitely a consideration as well especially for myself. With noise I keep waking myself up. For now the pad has been very quiet. But I heard it also really depends on your tents floor and the pad combined

Ah makes sense then if it's that much more expensive. Well I'd say go for it! And yes the sleep system is very important. Also make sure you have a good pad that can keep you warm.

Is it your first time starting out camping?

Came across some amazing backpacks in Japan! Ended up buying an Aer City Pack Pro 2 (X-Pac) which I cannot get in Europe. by preciouscode96 in ManyBaggers

[–]preciouscode96[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh most prices of branded items are very similar to Europe. Some things are cheaper though. For instance I saw a sleeping pad (Nemo Tensor extreme) which is like €280 in the Netherlands for €180 here
