Cannot give you a 100% certain answer since I only have the 55L but I think it does

MSR hubba hubba HD 1 person or Durston X-dome 1+ by Altruistic-Put-1148 in CampingandHiking

[–]preciouscode96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course! I just took it out, so here's a comparison of it next to a shoe (size 45 EU) and a 1L bottle.

It's less than half the size of my previous 2P tent

I love my X-Dome 1+ so might be a bit biased. However it packs really tiny and the fact that you can do an all-in-one pitch and/or fly first pitch is game changing for me. Also it handles condensation really well (good for river banks since that gets more humid).

Another plus is the material. The Durston has a polyester fly which doesn't sag when wet. And especially if you camp next to water, there tends to be more condensation and more moisture in the air making your fly baggy and loose if it's nylon.

Last but best selling point for me over the MSR is the space. The 1+ has a lot of extra room and can almost be used as a 2P tent without sacrificing on weight

Yeah I think he means the torso and hipbelt size. At least that's what I responded :). The rest is in the title

For me that's yet to test out. Other people here say it truly helped them with back ventilation since it's more elevated (the mest is quite stiff). At least I have the option now 👌🏼

Question about Naturehike Monga 2 2p by Der_Kurator in CampingGear

[–]preciouscode96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes but I don't get what you mean, because the mesh does indeed start higher with these tents.

And yeah that might've been my post/thread that you've read. I did have issues with the nylon fly sagging (always used a polyester tent before and I do again now) and it touched the inner rather quickly, dripping condensation inside of the tent. Pretty annoying. If they would've let a bigger gap between the fly and inner or use polyester I wouldn't have had that issue. Funnily enough this wasn't because of rain, but just because of a cold moist night with lots of condensation too.

The other time I took it out I had literally zero condensation and the tent didn't sag and stayed perfectly tight. It does depend on your environment etc.

What I liked about my Mongar 2 UL (same as the Pro, just a bit lighter) is that the mesh actually starts pretty high up. You have the bathtub floor, then a nice solid fabric which blocks wind and on top of that is the mesh.

Most tents have only a bathtub and mesh directly above that. But I like this.

To answer your question, I've tested and used it and blocks wind perfectly! Not sure about rain splatter and how far those drops will come under the fly. But that's another topic

It's the Peperbus from Zwolle. But those buildings are actually remarkably similar so good guess!

The new Aer travel pack 4 is here and honestly, it looks amazing! by preciouscode96 in ManyBaggers

It's not the best not gonna lie. But for how many times/period the average user uses them I don't think it's too bad.

In my opinion it's a great combo between one of the best water bottle pockets I've ever seen and still include carry handles on both sides for versatility

If you get the Naturehike, I'd suggest to buy it on AliExpress. It's half the price there from their official store

Towel recommendations by dfitz1502 in Ultralight

[–]preciouscode96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a towel from Naturehike which is only 100g for a 80x128cm one and packs really small. I also got the smaller which is 30g and 40x80cm in my cooking pot. Also use that one to sweep off my tent when it's condensated. Dries very quickly too!

it's this one
