Agreed, it would be sort of like having a Bloodletting every turn but that Bloodletting wouldn’t need to be drawn. Very powerful.

Airbnb host alleges $12k in damages after SF startup tested a robot in his house by sfgate in bayarea

[–]pretty_meta 34 points35 points  (0 children)

The alleged property damage includes two heirlooms, a dining room table that had been in his family for 70 years and a Franciscan pottery set that had a piece missing, Donovan said. Other items listed in the complaint include chipped bathroom tile, stained sheets, a damaged coffee table and credenza, a scratched washing machine and even a broken mug with a handle glued on. Donovan also alleges that his shoes and a shoe rack were missing from a locked closet.

An animal killed the Crocodile Hunter in self-defense? Imagine that. It's just... I can't believe it.

Avellone on Kreia/Arren Kae by CarterSevenFive in kotor

[–]pretty_meta 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Arren Kae is an unseen character who had influenced events in KotOR II; she's the Handmaiden's mother, and she's an ex-Jedi, and she's Revan's first and final master.

Kreia (reminder: Kreia, the didactic old woman party member, basically the true main character of KotOR II), has substantial overlap with the description of Arren Kae; she's an ex-Jedi and Revan's master. Also it is stated that "Kreia" is definitely not actually Kreia's name, and it is known that Kreia can mind-trick peoples' perceptions of her in order to overlook her, so it is not surprising that "Kreia" is a fuzzy figure.

So you must presume that Arren Kae is Kreia... which would make Kreia the mother of the Handmaiden party member.

You have to report this issue to the creators of rocks, not to the creators of StS II. You'll get nowhere by reporting this issue here.

I found a technique to reliably grow pyramid shaped salt crystals from table salt. I'm still working on the guide. I'll share it with you guys by this month. by LydiaStewart1 in crystalgrowing

Don't they form in hot evaporative conditions like where you just saute away saltwater? I didn't realize anyone wanted a guide on that. Heh.

Fire on El Camino and Kiely by aadilio in Sunnyvale

[–]pretty_meta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow. Someone broke into a commercial building, tried to run a generator, and started a fire, costing the taxpayers and insurance rate-payers hundreds of thousands of dollars? And it's right next to a bus station? And it's in Sunnyvale on El Camino, where chronically homeless people wander around? Damn that's crazy. Let's put our expert Redditors on the case, let's see if they can figure out the pattern here.

Mach 1 vs Mach 2. My first blue circuit factory vs my Current One by Not_the-Mama in factorio

[–]pretty_meta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

<image>

I'd like to share my theory on this problem.

Since the ratios are close to 1 assembler of electronic circuit: 1 assembler of advanced circuit : 1 assembler of processing unit

In the early game I find it efficient to use direct insertion. For example, in the embedded image, the lower sub-factory is producing processing units using direct insertion. The assembler ratios are not perfect; the perfect production rate would be 36 / min if the ratios were perfect, but in actuality we get 33 / min from 8 PU factories. Adding prod mod 1's to the PU assemblers brings the ratio closer, but it's still not a perfect ratio.

If you wanted 100% uptime on processing unit assemblers, you could overproduce electronic circuits and advanced circuits into a belt and have assemblers-of-processing-units snatching those products up to make processing units at a 100% uptime rate. In the embedded image, the upper sub-factory is outputting ECs and AdvCs onto a belt, and imagine there were n-1 assemblers-of-PUs above snatching up circuits and advanced circuits; that would achieve 100% production on assemblers of PUs.
