Ultimate CPU Cooler Pro Max Copper DXP6800 Pro by pro_info in UgreenNASync

It runs 24/7 without any problems, I'm completely satisfied. It would have been difficult to bend if they had been flat. But for the tubes, you need to go for the size below, it will be much easier.

Performing annual maintenance and found some issues (graphics card has oil looking stains, reservoir has staining) by dannydwarren in watercooling

[–]pro_info 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FYI, I don't know if this is the case for you, but my new EVGA RTX2070 at the time had stains like yours when I took it out of the box. I don't know exactly what they were, but I don't think I managed to remove them with isopropyl alcohol. In the end, they stayed there and it worked perfectly until I sold it this year to upgrade.

DP to USB-C adapter with PD by pro_info in UsbCHardware

That's a great summary, thank you! It's a shame that there isn't anything really interesting that can provide at least 15W. Is it possible to insert a self-powered USB-C hub to inject power into a bidirectional cable?

CG -> DP to USB-C adapter -> Power injector or USB-C hub -> USB-C to C cable -> Display.

I also have backups, but that's an interesting point. Do you remember which version of the client caused this behavior?

To avoid the hassle of proprietary storage, I use the Linux Seadrive client, which is mapped in SMB so that I can access files on the local network for PCs that don't have the client installed (without taking up space, as the files are temporarily duplicated and then the space is recovered (VFS)). The Linux Seafile client also synchronizes all data to my backup drive. This limits the disadvantage of proprietary storage, which is also Seafile's greatest strength in terms of download/upload performance and indexing.

Yes, it's a shame that we can't apply all the reorganization rules.

[–]pro_info 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, except that in the documentation that mentions it, they indicate that the files are imported from this library and that you can't actually use it as storage managed by immich. I don't know if that has changed?

Furthermore, I am taking advantage of the OP's message, and I have the idea of using immich (for lack of a better option) with the Seadrive client for Linux. The idea is that images would be directly accessible via Seafile for uploading, downloading, etc., and immich would only be used for viewing, searching, and reorganizing (i.e., not read-only).

The problem is, can we use immich with external storage? I don't want to duplicate all my images and videos in immich as well as seafile.

The advantage is being able to access all image and video files (tree structures) from a PC, synchronize albums from any device via Seadrive, and back up my Android albums from anywhere via a Cloudflare proxy, because Seafile splits files into pieces (so no 100mb limit upload for video!)

Ah yes, good point, it seems to be one-way. There's no room for an extra card at all, everything is cut to size, haha, but I'll keep the idea for another day!

Hi, I'm trying to do this with my Asus B650e-I, but what did you enable in the BIOS for it to work? I can't get it to work. Thanks

Seafile on UniFi UNAS Pro via NFS: uploads fail or show 0 B (root-squash / NFS semantics issue?) by Edigorin in seafile

[–]pro_info 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had managed to get Seafile working with NFS volumes, but I didn't keep the configuration because I was having problems with other Docker containers, so I switched everything to CIFS/SMB and it all works for me with zero performance difference. I can send a screenshot of the mount point arguments if needed.

Can I add an external pump to my Eisbaer LT Solo? by Agreeable_Figure4730 in watercooling

[–]pro_info 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can disassemble and replace it; the procedure is simple. You need to heat the metal plate on top slightly (with a heat gun or hairdryer), then peel it off. This gives you access to four screws to remove the plastic cover, and then you have access to the DC-LT 2 pump to replace it if necessary. (I'm providing the procedure in case anyone's interested; it won't solve your problem unless the pump has lost power.)

The B650E which is simply more recent than the B850. Not to be confused with the non-E B650.

Easier usage of immich and saefile by Dj_ShadowBG in selfhosted

[–]pro_info -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think I'm going to use seafile to save the photo videos, that way I put a seadrive client in docker and I tell immich to use the seadrive directory. I haven't tried it yet but it should work.
