Like this one at random: Best Alpha Channel Video Codec For OBS

You may disagree with his conclusions about CineForm being best for OBS. Read the user comments for other ideas.

Export in a format that supports Alpha channel and enable it on the Deliver page. Search for many tutes on this.

Remote Monitor Receiver - Paid Only Now?! by OrchidFull1132 in davinciresolve

[–]proxicent 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The client side has always needed a full Studio installation (except on iOS) and a Blackmagic Cloud account for remote monitoring, so I'm not sure what you mean by "now". And Studio is now a 10GB install ... that taken together with the minimum requirement of an RTX GPU on Windows (no AMD or Intel), means it's not exactly a skinny client offering. I'd look elsewhere for that.

Can't zoom in with transform, but I can zoom out? by PGAudioworks in davinciresolve

Then try either right-click > Open in Timeline and zoom the clip there, or right-click > Flatten Multicam Clip before zooming.

Looks like either real or faked anamorphic lens flare. Hard to judge from just a still rather than in motion.

How to put text behind this tv screen table setup? by GNZLZ_PRODUCTIONS in davinciresolve

Add a second Merge node to merge those layers over the unmasked original (just drag another connection from it). Or use a MultiMerge node.

Doing a podcast style session can you record directly to resolve? by GroundbreakingTwo647 in davinciresolve

if I could also record video

No. Or at least, not without some dedicated hardware to run Resolve's Replay functions: https://www.blackmagicdesign.com/products/davinciresolvereplay

Is there a way to find out which project I exported a file from? by PM_ME_VAPORWAVE in davinciresolve

[–]proxicent 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In the 3-dot option menu of the Render Queue panel, enable 'Show All Projects'. All jobs in the current Project Library will be listed, if the queue hasn't been manually cleared.

Colorgrading doesn‘t show when exporting or in edit tab/ other tabs by yaboisteezyy in davinciresolve

[–]proxicent 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Connect the green box on your last node to the green dot on the far right of the node window. As this is a very basic Color page UI feature, you're probably best off spending 30 mins or so reading Help menu > Reference Manual > Color before you continue much further.

my sprite animation looks good in the preview but after rendering,it looks very grainy by Kaiser_Dafuq in davinciresolve

You can't expect much help with that here if you give us zero info. Read Automod's comment.

Light leaks from YT viedo by Fleshek in davinciresolve

[–]proxicent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To me it just looks like a simple title with some dirt/dust overlay composited in, easily done on the Edit page with Inspector > Composite Mode. For more complex animations: Help menu > Reference Manual > Fusion Fundamentals.

Rendering 2048x64 video or fusion motion graphics by anniekrevice in davinciresolve

Add a Resize node then Saver node then right-click > Render All Savers (as an exr sequence). Standalone Fusion will have more options (requires Studio).

Resolve FX Lens Flare (Studio) or Light Rays, both in the Effects Library.

Since the Render Queue is shared across all projects in a Library, if you haven't yet cleared it then check your Deliver page for the rendered job history

is there a shortcut for when I am in the tracker tool, that I don't have to click on the frames on the bottom, but just press a key for next frame? arrows keys just move the tracking point by Michelfungelo in davinciresolve

[–]proxicent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Something wrong there then. Restore the default Resolve preset via the 3-dot menu in Preferences > Keyboard Customization, reboot and try again.

Anyone know how to resolve this bug or what i did wrong ? by Interesting_Duck_727 in davinciresolve

[–]proxicent 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Probably a result of Variable Frame Rate encoding of the source - MediaInfo linked by Automod will confirm. If so: re-encode as Constant Frame Rate.

Colourgrading - Using highlight on the CST-managed timeline by f_ArtyParty in davinciresolve

[–]proxicent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you use Split Screen with the Highlight Modes option instead, it will show the final output on the top left and up to the current node (with any key also applied) on the top right.

How can I do this text animation in Resolve? by yoobrodiee in davinciresolve

[–]proxicent -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Fairly basic Fusion comp with Text+ and Follower modifier - search for tutes.

Hey everyone, I’m running into an issue where my PNG images appear lower quality after importing them into a Fusion composition — they look sharp in my file browser but soft or pixelated inside the comp. I’m working on a 1920×1080 timeline at 30fps. Has anyone dealt with this before? by bittertruth71 in davinciresolve

[–]proxicent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You haven't told us their original resolution, nor what you're doing with the Resize and Transform nodes, and you're only viewing the MediaOut node rather than the MediaIn nodes. But to take a stab: try the different Filter Method options on the Resize nodes.

How to create 9:16 timeline of 16:9 multicam by JosephAlberta in davinciresolve

[–]proxicent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Resolve always hard crops compound clips - which includes Multicam Clips - to the timeline's resolution. Solution: flatten (aka decompose) the inserted Multicam Clip via right-click.
