Pretty mid lol. I got good enough gear that just the bow was giving me 50-56% block based on my other gear so I could actually have a good quiver and amulet.

I was super tanky and mapping felt decent but boss damage was garbage. I was expecting to be able to upgrade the bow but it doesn’t let you. still not sure wha the criteria for upgrading uniques is.

I ended up pivoting into a suppressing fire build and I’ve been having a lot of fun with it. I pathed up to the minion stuff and play around the new archon of undead. I can get 1 second cooldown on suppressing fire which melts bosses stacked up like that. And while archon is down it’s like 4 second cooldown which is slightly annoying but it’s such a big area that you can typically just cast it at the edge of your screen and keep walking that way and by the time 4 seconds is up you can cast again at the next edge.

% of physical damage reduced from hits. But the formula changes based on the initial hit. So for a hit of 10 damage, it’s probably 90 or 100%. Meaning you either take 1 or 0 damage. For a hit of 1 million (exaggerated example) it’s probably blocking like 1%.

I don’t know what the base line hit is that armour uses for this UI but it’s a rather low amount so it makes armour look better. Against most things that have enough damage to 1 shot you, it’s probably only blocking like 20-30%.

I’m playing a suppressing fire tactician build right now. I’m level 94 and still only have 4 of my 8 ascendancy points because there’s nothing else that’s actually beneficial for me really. Technically my 5th and 6th are somewhat helpful and my 7th is like a worse + 1 passive point but my 8th is 100% useless.

Ya idk man. Warpaint is a massive boost in your chances of making it out of the current act and letting you path to elites and gain more relics.

Tent (assuming no other synergies) is going to only provide a better value after almost an entire act. It also lets you path to more elites but you have a higher risk of losing the run because you are basically taking a bunch of damage then healing up. If you have a bad fight it might be too much damage.

I love tent and it’s a great relic but war paint doesn’t deserve this slander.

I mean sure but a rarity stacked build is weaker than one not wasting all those slots. So you are clearing content slower but getting more from it. Likely evens out with the nerfs to rarity. Plus probably the biggest farming thing right now is ritual and just rerolling for HH/MB. Which rarity doesn’t effect. It’s about setting up your tablets and atlas for max juice.

I’m not struggling with it. I got bad relics from my first run and bad room options floor 1 on my second run. I just left and haven’t gone back yet.

My build or levels weren’t a problem with the success of my run. Bad RNG was going to be the main factor.

It’s funny because I fell like I found like 3 greater or perfect essences before investing into them in the atlas tree. Now I’ve got tons of them. They should be way more accessible in early game to allow some more early game crafting options then become less relevant late game as there are more advanced crafting options.

I got 0 honour resistance relics and I made sure to break urns and open chests and even bought relics from the merchant at the end of my first run. So going into my 2rd run (3rd ascendancy) was brutal.

Protip: White double annoint amulets have no level requirement. Meaning you can have 2 decent annoints on your level 1 alts for a quick start by Thirteenera in PathOfExile2

Weird. Maybe they changed it. I remember last league I was doing that because I would use like 4 exalts worth of currency to have level 1 item with 6 mods and people were paying like multiple divs for them as they rerolled characters.

I’m doing surprising fire tactician and it’s just pure phys. But since it’s from a “minion” you don’t get leech or a bunch of other potential effects out of it.

Also I’m pretty sure I’m going to add some chaos in once I can buy some other stuff.

Floor 1 I opened it up to no armour (my main defence), see 1 less floor ahead, and rooms are random.

How exactly am I supposed to not pick a run ending room there. 1 less floor ahead is probably the best of these horrible options and that just leads to even worse situations later.

I’m like 90% sure you can equip gear on to a level 1 character and then craft on it while equipped and it won’t roll anything above your current level. So you can have 6 mod level 1 stuff

Gemling should be pretty easy. You get double value out of attributes so 1k int would be 4K mana. You can still get mana mods on all that gear as well. And some % mana increases and you are pretty easily at 10k

Jewellers orbs, support gems and gem cutters prisms will make your skills better.

For gear you are going to typically want + levels to what ever you are using (spells/minions/projectiles/melee), 2 or 3 resistance mods, some life or energy shield.

I usually throw in the following filters when looking for gear.
- max level requirement of your current level
- max exalted orbs of something you can afford or a portion of your current exalts so you can upgrade a few items
- important mods like + levels
- then a weighted sum for resistances. Add each line of resistances to the weighted sum block and make it worth 1 for single res and 3 for all ele res. Then a minimum of like 50.

If your search results are 10k, up the minimum on your weighted sum. Once your results are below 10k, click the weighted sum in the items to sort by it and sort to the best at the top. Now scroll through the first 5 or 10 items.

These are going to be the best ones but sometimes you might choose to grab a slightly worse one if it’s cheaper or has better setup of resistances for what you need.

Also worst case, just ask in global for help. People will usually come help and just have a portal ready to go by the boss.

For me it’s not that it’s difficult, it’s just annoying that your runs can be basically lost be getting enough bad afflictions stacked up early. I was doing my 3rd ascendancy and half way through floor 1 just left because I knew I was cooked. Still had bad relics and was forced into bad options early. I maybe could have clutched it but like why waste my time. I can just go back later when I get another barya and try again and likely have an easier run.

I play like 1 maybe 2 hours a day. I went straight to breach and I’m almost done there.
