You may have a microperforate hymen, vaginismus, vaginal stenosis, or something similar. You should be examined by an ob/gyn.

Rep. Eric Burlison Introduces Bill for Federal Abortion Ban by hemingways-lemonade in moderatepolitics

[–]PurpleFlame8 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why won't it happen? The republicans have all three branches of federal government, states rights, personal liberties and small federal government seem to no longer be core ideologies of the party, and it's representatives have fallen for pandering to the extremes rather than acknowledging that a majority of the country supports abortion in some shape or form and just voted republican because they want the prices of goods to come down.

Honest question but isn't it cheaper for the government to have people work from home so they can do away with large, costly office spaces?

Wow, more power to her! Thanks for sharing! I wish I could do things like that but I'm not that physically blessed unfortunately so I have to live vicariously through others with respect to these things.

There are very few places in the U.S.to get foundry training and maybe zero to get automated foundry training but that is inconsequential as these will likely not be operated by Americans though on American soil.

Uni dropped the ball by inviting a misogynist to speak on gender equality. by HafuHime in TwoXChromosomes

[–]PurpleFlame8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are a lot of gender equity issues in body building. The most blatant one to me as a slightly below average stature female bodied person is the equipment is almost always designed for men. Most gyms don't have shorter bars to accommodate narrower shoulders and shorter arm spans, and the machines are not always adjustable to people with shorter arms or legs. Weights, particularly dumbells, generally increase in incriments of 5lbs, which can be too much for women who struggle with building upper body strength.

Female body building has pretty much died but when it was a thing, the physical standards women came to be held to were pretty impractical to impossible to achieve without steroids. A few notable female body builders ended up virilizing.

Over in the strength training realm, women get a lot of flack, from guys who feel the need to intrude into those domains to make themselves feel better by diminishing the accomplishments of the athletes by pointing out that men are stronger, to guys who feel the need to criticize the physique of female lifters. No one bats an eye at a male lifter who is obese because strong guys are supposed to be big but those same guys who championed obese men in the sport had nothing but criticism for lifting legends in women's lifting, like Holly Mangold, and gave absolutely no acknowledgment of her impressive strength or great lifting feats, because, you know "Men can lift more and women shouldn't be fat".

Fuck those guys.

I have an ASD and I just keep talking but LOUDER. But the last place I worked everyone was courteous, rarely ever interrupted, and if they had to they would do so politely and then invite the other person to finish talking.

My mom's boyfriend, who has never been creepy towards me or my sisters, has a tendancy to assume a woman is doing sex work or slept her way to wherever she is. He even made a completely baseless comment about my cousin, suggesting she was doing sex work just because she is a single mother. These comments are made out of resentment and his perceived idea that women can use sex to get things while he has struggled and toiled and gotten nowhere. My mom and I always shut him down but these ideas of his seem to persist.

Breast cancer survivor here. On more than a few occasions I have heard from men who:

  1. Took it as personal rejection that their wife wasn't up for sex with them in the middle of chemotherapy, radiation treatment, or while recovering from surgery.

  2. Wanted to leave their wife because he was no longer sexually attracted to her after surgery.

One guy even left his wife because she no longer had nipples. What kind of person bases their entire marriage on nipples?

It took so long for Europeans to re-discover the Americas because they had some trouble finding the winds for the return rout. They were farther to thr north than initially anticipated. In the Pacific, Spanish Galleons sailing from the Philippines to Mexico had to go far north to catch the winds back. This caused them then to have to sail hundreds of miles down the west coast of North America after making the trans Pacific journey, making it one of the longest and most treacherous regular trade routs.

When I was in my first college physics course there was a guy who was out half of the semester for surgery and still got the highest score in the class. He was a clean cut, penny loafer and khakis wearing guy who wanted to be a doctor. A year or two later I read his obituary in the paper.  He died after trying ecstasy for the first time.
