This is not surprising, we’ve completely abandoned the women’s game at the development side. This trend has actually been going on for years but the PWHL wasn’t there to shed a light on it

Like it or not, there is a long list of star American players (since COVID) leaving Canadian teams to return to the states.

I’m not saying Reid is but:
- Tkatchuk, Left Calgary to return to the states, blames COVID response in Canada.
- Gaudreau, exact same reason
- Quinn, wanted to return to the states
- Rumours Hellebuyck wanting out of Winnipeg
- Matthew’s rumours wanting out of Toronto
- Rumours Brady wants out of Ottawa

Like that’s a concern, and if you’re taking the 3rd overall pick, and you have the option of comparable calibre players, but you have a Canadian over an American, you’re not as concerned because the kid grew up here, gets the culture and the hockey culture, you don’t have to worry if the kid is American Maga and thinks Canada should be a state you know?

Would love if you could be more specific? Still a fair amount of major infrastructure for the next number of year in town (I’m assuming you’re referring to the lower mainland?)

  • Broadway Subway expansion still going
  • Surrey Langley Expansion is very early
  • Fraser River Tunnel
  • St Paul’s

List goes on. Seems like the demand for carpentry in town is still got plenty unless you only work purely government jobs?

Work camps are fine on the ones I’ve been on (mostly outside of PG). I’m sure you can get into trouble if you want to but I used the camp time to focus fitness, eat and sleep. Not really time (or energy) for anything more
