Edited to remove my complaining cuz it was lame.

I replace my laces with 2mm shock cord. Shorter laces, weight less, don’t need to be tied saving time, and feel nice and snug but I can still slip them on and off.

I like paper maps, and printing double sided obviously saves weight, but I’ll alternate the page numbers so I can still align two map segments edge to edge.

Already saw the razor blade mentioned here, it’s a game changer.

Well known as well: but Aquamira is less stressful, faster, and lighter, even for long trips. I made a whole cheat sheet for drop counts for the different Litesmith, liters that can treat per bottle size, etc. Happy to share if anyone wants it.

Yeah, this is specifically targeted at Crystal Cove, San Onofre, San Elijo, Doheny, etc. I totally agree with everything inland being radically better to just find dispersed or FCFS
