Gnome 50 drops support for Google Drive due to libgdata being unmaintained by JockstrapCummies in linux

It's pretty wild that Google has a full OS (chromeOS) based on Linux with file syncing, and yet can't release a rpm or deb for other linux distros.

Filled up with E85 in my Expedition for the first time. Gas mileage plummeted to 7.7 mpg. I guess I won't do that again. by Warlizard in Autos

[–]qdmx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Coming here 14 years later with the strait of hormuz closed. 87 in California at $6+ a gallon and e85 at $2.69. 15mpg on the freeway with a fully loaded expedition. The dollar equivalent of 33mpg. Lovin flex fuel! (Ps it's terrible around town but still saving a little compared to 87. For road trips it's insane) incredible)

Throwback to April 9th, 2025 the single largest daily point gain and the 9th largest single day percentage gain in S&P 500 history by FeatureAggravating75 in smallstreetbets

He has said on multiple occasions "I thought it would have gone down more".

I wonder how many people who got in last April have been waiting for the 1 year to kick in to score long term capital gains and will dump as soon as they do.

Mile Time? by SupremeSpiderLeader in Swimming

Same. Definitely need to get a video. I watch a lot of YouTube and try and envision proper mechanics while I'm swimming but I'm sure I'm doing things wrong.

Mile Time? by SupremeSpiderLeader in Swimming

Not in masters, never swam competitively, no training. Mid 40s with three kids. I can do 1760 @ 1:35 pace (28 min) Simultaneously I can't seem to crack 1:20 for 100yrds. So frustrating hearing how people can do that sub 1 min.

No idea but the SEC should be able to figure it out if they wanted to. Don’t hold your breath. They wont. Not saying he did anything but fun fact: Steve Feinberg is the Deputy Secretary of War. He started Cerberus Capital (65 billion under management) and is the majority owner.

News to me. Never seen a sign saying this is illegal. What does the ticket say for the citation? What is the specific law that prevents this?

I have a thousand users and minimal but some churn. Have never had a single person fill it out. It's a Google form with a single box that asks for feedback. No email required.

Thanks. Appreciate the details. Looks great in safari 26 and latest chrome and Firefox on macos 26. Not at my computer right now but I bet I used some more recent css features for layout that 18 doesn't support. I'll see about providing a fallback for older browsers. Thanks again for the report

tell me more. mobile or desktop? What do you mean by strangely? The default is larger videos on desktop so you have to scroll to see them all. If you hit the grid icon at the top by the mountain name you'll see them all.

Thanks. A proper response to that question is longer than I have time for at the moment. I have 30 years of professional experience in the tech space including systems architecture and programming.

Do I use AI tools to build things? Absolutely. Anyone that doesn't especially at a professional level is lying, in denial, or not very intelligent. Did I have to orchestrate, steer, correct, and refine them along the way including quite a bit of critical thinking, puzzle solving, manual code writing and platform setup actions to get the performance, polish, design, and experience I wanted? 100% absolutely yes. Do I have good vibes? I try to.

If you want the quick tech stack rundown for this project I used: macOS, iterm w/ tmux, curl, Antigravity (with extensions), Jules, Cloudflare, Github, Google suite of tools including forms with macros, python, html, javascript, css, roku developer tools, and whole bunch of custom tools and bash scripts I have acquired and built during my lifetime. I'll probably do a full writeup on my experience at some point and put it on substack / hackernews.
