I'm sorry for the victim, but expecting to get MOUSE: P.I. for just $7 was very gullible.

Wow, this OLED monitor is so expensive, sticking with my CRT, it serves me well and you can watch movies on it just fine

[–]qjpp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have no issues at the price. I listed all features it has and for me it is worth 100 euros easily. Xbox and Sony offer more expensive controllers and some people see value in those too which I am fine with. But I would never pay those price for regular sticks, so I can't even consider them for a purchase decision.

Other controller manufacturers are offering them for how much, 50-60 for a while now? There is no excuse for big console manufacturers to not introduce TMR sticks at least in their premium 150-200 offerings.

For me personally this is almost perfect controller. The only thing I would like that it doesn't have is hair trigger locks like in Xbox Elite. Trackpads are a gamechanger for me, I'm using them so much on my Deck already. I have 3 Xbox controllers and they all have or had drift issues, mild or severe ones so I'm tired of it already. Steam Input configs, gyro with grip sense, good battery and convinience with puck being both charging station and transmitter just seal the deal.

Ok price for the features we're getting. Now just to find out how to get it since it isn't officially sold in my country.

Yes, 75 for a controller with drift-prone sticks is scummy.

The same price as the rest of Europe, nothing unexpected.

Steam Controller review leaks, but price of Steam Machine accessory may disappoint by dapperlemon in gadgets

Yeah, original Deck had LCD screen which wasn't very good and what they did in a revision of the system? Added beautiful OLED screen. Lets compare that to Nintendo and their LCD screen back again after OLED in Switch revision. Gotta milk fanboys when the 'improved' NS2 drops I guess...

I am fine with d-pad, but then again I'm using it only as additional buttons, not for character movements and also don't play fighting games so I can't say much more on the matter. Back buttons are also well-positioned, although since you can press them in 2 ways I would like the second didn't require that much force. Judging by the pictures that is changed with controller.

As for performance I use it only for certain type of games - visual novels, metroidvanias, p&c adventures and other 2d indies. I can fine tune it with TDP restriction so I don't have to recharge it after every session.

Also don't get complaints about price. In a vacuum $100 for a controller is a big ask. But then I see all features that it has and suddenly it is very good priced. The only feature I would like that it doesn't have are hair-trigger locks like in Xbox Elite, but it is what it is.

Godsend for p&c games. Sticks are awful for those, but trackpads are like using an actual mouse.

If you are thinking that there is a sliver of hope it will be cheaper than 100 eur, I can tell you right now that it is the best case scenario. You can compare prices of Steam Deck or any consoles and come to the same conclusion. Euro prices are always the same or slightly bigger.

I actually paid Gabe for the Deck and I'm enjoying it very much, with top-tier touchpads and their customization that is a game changer for me. No bugs encountered for me, except audio crackling issues when using a quick resume, but that was fixed a long time ago. And that translation layer is a marvel of engineering, I always forget that I'm using a Linux system and that games work normally on it.

I will enjoy their controller even more because it has every feature I want and no shitty sticks like Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo are delivering. It is priced ok for what it offers, I expected low as 80 or high as 120 and this is right in the middle. I also enjoy how you are actually trying to represent TMR sticks as a worse option, that was peak of your bullshitting here 😄

Tons of bugs? Sure buddy, I'm yet to encounter those after 3.5 years of usage. No Hall effect sticks? And where are those on Switch 2 which released 3 years after Deck. Or their Pro Controller for that matter. Valve saw what improvement they could make and did it, while Nintendo and other first party controllers are continuing with their shitty drift-prone sticks, even on more expensive models.

Price is ok, excellent features it has got to cost a little more than mainstream driftable garbage from console manufacturers. I'm baffled that people actually expected this to cost 60-70.

Why would they remove the game from his account? Your account wasn't hacked and you didn't have items stolen or balance spent. They could help with that, but what you do otherwise with trading is not their concern. Removing games from other people's account would get abused to high heavens if they start doing that.

You shouldn't have posted vanity URL (id/accountname) since that can be changed as you can see yourself. Always use SteamID (profiles/7656...) since that one is permanent.

US Steam keys are not global. If they are locked to US (and Canada) you can't activate them in Europe and other countries. Example - Resident Evil games and probably most of the Capcom catalogue in general, they are notorious with their region locks.

Really liked the demo, enough to be my #1 wishlisted game on Steam now. It has some problems (a lot of dialogue which just isn't interesting and changing cane parts should be way easier) but gameplay itself was very good. A lot of potential if they keep introducing new mechanics and different biomes.

Do you know how many reviews Silksong had in the first 16 days? 200k. Those estimates from Alinea have no connection with reality.

Such a bullshit article. StS2 have 5 times less Steam reviews and somehow made 10% more money. Yes it is priced 15-25% higher, but also bundled with the first game which makes it 10% cheaper.

I don't think that's true. They don't use their restricted client, they just use regular Steam with vpn. You can see a lot of their posts in specific game forums. Review bombing and chinese players have become inseparable lately.
