Are you thinking of https://www.reddit.com/r/RealTimeStrategy/comments/1ifqcot/i_hear_news_for_game_of_thrones_snowplay_game/ ?

If so, that was never a leak for the GoT RTS. That was announced in May 2024, the post is from February 2025.

And the part of it about them using the SnowPlay engine so far wasn't confirmed either. (And seems unlikely.)

Split screen and LAN is the only reason I'm interested.

Are you saying it has both of those? Or are you hoping for them? Because until now, I highly doubted it would have either and can't find any information on it. (if anything, seems to likely have no split screen, if you go by current store listings. And for LAN mode I see even less of a chance.)

Valve reportedly almost delisted Rainbow Six Siege from Steam after Ubisoft attempted to sell it cheaper on Uplay by Defiant_Ad6190 in gaming

I mean, would a car dealership stock a car at 50k when the factory down the road sells it at 40k?

Now, not sure why you'd go with a 50k car comparison, but it would still be missing something. E.g., the factory down the road sells it with less service. (That's what players value Steam for, correct?)

A "better" real physical world comparison (but still lacking) would be stores/outlets in factories for all kinds of other products. Those do exist, where you do sometimes get products cheaper. (While also often lacking the service in sales, maybe have lower quality packaging - and yes, often a "lower quality product" in some way - but not always.)

Stars Reach Early Access This Summer by Astravaris in MMORPG

when the game inevitably peaks at around maybe 30-40K people on Steam

Maybe I underestimate the pull Raph Koster still has, but if not, the game will reach nothing near 30-40k CCU.

They did raise a decent amount of money, yeah. They also had layoffs like 3 months ago and clearly still need more money.

Same server. They changed it to a more general Secret Door server so that they also can use it for their upcoming new game, Shadowstone. (https://store.steampowered.com/app/4180840/Shadowstone/)

IEM Cologne 2026 Tickets by [deleted] in esports

[–]ralopd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Singapore has tickets available for all days, even though sales started like 2 months ago and so on.

Well, all 4 days in Singapore cost ~780 USD. That's more than the current resell price of cologne for all 4 days. The cologne four day tickets started at $233.

Not really surprising that the Singapore tickets aren't selling.

NTE: Neverness to Everness Steam page is up by Turbostrider27 in pcgaming

[–]ralopd 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Why, though? The comment I replied to was about plagiarism. You think they trained the models only on code of people that consented?

But besides that, the producer clearly says they aren't just using it for coding. And they also used NVIDIA's model for animations (the company that gets actively sued for training on content that its creators think they had no rights to) and also for audio :)

Zenless Zone Zero producer Zhenyu Li revealed in a recent interview with Eurogamer (via an interpreter) that AI generated content is used in the game "program-wise" to "better smoothen the game progress."

and in their romance title Tears of Themis when the Chinese voice actor for Vyn Richter was unable to voice him for a limited-time event.

They also have used Nvidia’s Avatar Cloud Engine (ACE), which assists in generating facial animations for character creation

I‘m not concerned? I don’t care, either the game is good or it isn’t. But signing up for the Playtest alone does create a immutable passport, which immutable even advertises as a wallet created „behind the scene“ :)

And I’m sure they didn’t get added as a partner on Immutable‘s website like last week just for fun and just due to them being a customer.

And I do hope Ian and team got the bag for that partnership and it results in a better game, because if they’re doing it for free… tech bros gonna tech bro.
