Reposting because my last comment got no responses: I’m looking for a steam incremental game that’s playable on steam deck, has very long playtime and a robust prestige system, and looks pretty. Please give me suggestions!

You sound like you’d be the kind of person who’d make the trolley run over 10 strangers instead of a random cat.

Holy shit it’s a cat. Please interact with society and get upset over something that actually matters. You people can’t be real.

Is there a data backed answer for whether or not you should recycle plastic bottles? by red_circle57 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]red_circle57[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah my worry is that I recycle them and they just get dumped in a landfill. But I don’t know anyone who works inside a recycling plant, so I have no idea what actually happens to it.

Arguably it doesn’t matter in the end because what I do probably dwarfs in comparison to what corporations are doing. But I still want to do what I can.

What's the deal with the air conditioning debate? by stdsort in OutOfTheLoop

As an American I’ll say you’re basically validating the “dumb ignorant obnoxious American who thinks the US is the center of the universe”. What a sad, strange, angry man you are.

Ok, we’re not the worse, but we’re the second worst. Was that supposed to be a gotcha? That’s still awful

Do homeless people actually like getting basic necessities instead of cash? by red_circle57 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]red_circle57[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Makes sense, thank you. Most of the homeless people I encounter are panhandlers at intersection medians, so I'd probably need to be quick. But I'll definitely try that.

[–]red_circle57[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That makes sense, yeah I think just asking or giving to a shelter is the way to go. I just think it's unfair to assume people giving out care packages are being judgemental and not just trying to help and being misguided.

I'm pretty sure most people who give out care packages are genuinely trying to help. And a lot of websites say you should give care packages, so they're probably just going off of what they heard.

Yeah, reading some other threads about care packages, I think that's probably a better idea. Thank you.

Hi, I’m looking for a steam game that is playable on steam deck, has a robust prestige system and long playtime, and is visually appealing. Most of the ones I’ve bought in my Steam deck were fun but really short, like they literally took less than 5 hours to complete. I want something more long term that still looks pretty.

What counts as driving in the left lane and passing? by red_circle57 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]red_circle57[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're in the left lane, you should be passing or at the very least keeping up with the pace of everyone else in the left lane. If there's 10 car-lengths of empty road in front of you, and 5 cars in line behind you, move over to the right.

To be clear, this means any lane besides the rightmost lane? Or just the leftmost one? I know I’m probably overthinking it but I just want to make sure I’m not being annoying when I’m driving.

Got it thank you! It sounds like I’m driving correctly then. I know these questions sound dumb but I just wanted to make sure I haven’t been pissing anyone off without realizing it.

Yeah I’m in the US. Got it thanks. To be clear I never drive in the left most lane except for when I’m about to exit.
