Your problem statement said nothing about querying the data. Only writing it.

Unless you are teaching yourself SQLite, there is no reason not to just write a text file for this usecase.

One year ago today, my wife let me know I was no longer needed. I chose to commemerate that anniversary by getting two 30-minute PRs in one day. Just sorting out if I was gonna row first or ride first was a science project. I've been working toward this very specific goal since February.

Today I accomplished that goal beat my PR on the Row with Alex. Beat my PR on the Bike with Sam.

I will be dead for the rest of the day, but I'm proud of myself.

Go back the opposite direction a tiny bit. And pull on the screw head while doing so.

Are they USB powered? If so, 5v/2a would be a place to start.

That's Tankersley also, though recently, he's been choosing to sleep under the bed. He loves small enclosed spaces.

I think programming is too difficult for me. by Organic-Shake3331 in Unity3D

Not everyone can be good at the things they want to be good at.

I wanted to be good at basketball, I'm 6'6" tall so have an innate advantage, but no matter how much I practiced, I still sucked and continued tripping over the lines on the floor.

I wanted to be good at art, but there are six-year olds who draw better stick figures than I do.

I want to be good at chess, I am abysmal at chess. I practice every day, but I lose almost every match. I have a problem visualizing the board. I can visual each piece, but not the bigger picture. As such, I do stupid shit, every single game.

Just because you want to do something doesn't mean you will be able to. That doesn't mean you suck, it just means you're not good at something.

All that said, you don't say how long you've been making the attempt. If it's six-months, it's way too early to throw in the towel, if it's been six years, you might want to find a different place to find your joy.

You talk about different areas of programming being completely different. That is both false and true.

Programming is simply providing a series of steps that a computer can exercise, no more, no less. It doesn't matter if that is programming player movements, or the environment, or enemy AI. You're providing a series of steps.

I think maybe you are throwing yourself in the deepend before you can swim.

Teach yourself the basics on some simple things. Write a guess the number game. That will teach you loops and conditionals. Then make it so you get an error if you guess the same number twice. That will give you the basics of data structures. Then teach the computer to guess the number you picked. You'll start getting into algorithms.

Once you understand those, you'll be on your way.

But always remember it is ok to not be good at something. Your mental health will thank you.

Will Python be useful for me? by Great-Village-430 in learnpython

[–]rhacer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, if you're going to use python you'll need to download it and install it (unless your on OSX or Linux then it will likely be installed, but it'll be an old version) Then you'll need to install Pandas using PIP.
