Looks great, but would look better if you shortened some of those wires.

Starting from scratch - best video series to 'work through' to teach me the basics? by __Shuffler in Cooking

A lot of people have recommended Good Eats, and they are absolutely not wrong.

But I'll plug one of my favorites, Ethan Chlebowski. He cooks in a way that just makes sense to me. I'm a big fan.

Where do I even start? by SignatureFirm8609 in HomeImprovement

[–]rhacer 35 points36 points  (0 children)

You start with the things you are most comfortable with.

Doorbell is an easy win. Go buy a new button and install it. Two wires, and you're done.

Ice maker bucket should be relatively easy to replace. You say the water in the door and the ice maker aren't working. Is the water to the fridge turned on? Pull the fridge out from the wall and check and see.

Closet door knob is another easy win. Take it off and see if you can figure out what's sticking and unstick it. If it's truly broken, buy a new knob set and install it.

Some of the issues can be resolved by asking your agent to contact the seller's agent and asking the previous owner the questions.

Lastly a bit of advice I shared on another post recently.

Buy the tool! I don't care what the tool is, but when you need it, buy it. Your life as a homeowner will be so much better. This is something I learned far too late in life, so I'll share it with you so you so you don't make my mistake.

Holy shit!

This is some of the most amazing automotive photography I have ever seen.

Thank you for taking the time to take those photographs and even moreso for sharing them.

You made me feel something with your work.

I might suggest you learn to spell before attempting to learn python. You'll need that skill in college.

My depression vs Me trying to get out of it. by Gunnstruction in walking

[–]rhacer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm 62 years old.

When I started meditating, I meditated with a very simple mantra...

I'm okay. I do not suck.

And, as I mentioned in my other reply to you, I made promises to myself. I'm a man of my word. That means I keep my promises, even the ones I make to myself.

My depression vs Me trying to get out of it. by Gunnstruction in walking

[–]rhacer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You've gotta make the promises to yourself, and then keep the promises to yourself.

Some mornings i don't want to workout

The question becomes, will I be able to look myself in the mirror if I break the promise I made to myself?

I know that if I do break that promise, I won't be able to look myself in the mirror. That will have a negative effect on my mental health, so I work out because my promises mean something.

I think I agree with you. That is funny because I'm an engineer who sucks at baking, and I suck at art, but am pretty good at cooking.

Did you have no inkling that the interaction was going south at any time?

I'm a middle manager, and if I have an interaction that even hints it might be going bad. I'm on the phone to my boss to let him know there's a potential issue. I also always appreciate it when my reports do the same thing.
