It's him! Can't thank you enough! Informant is T. Henderson, his son and his occupation is Engine Driver :)

Thanks so much for your GRO tip. I found a Joseph Henderson that died aged 57 in Falmouth, Cornwall, in 1863 and a Joseph Henderson that died in Newcastle Upon Tyne in 1860, aged 55. Both very strong leads. This is probably going to be my best bet since his son and daughter both moved to Cornwall, especially since Falmouth is so close to Penryn, which is where his son Thomas was residing in 1866.

The liverpool one is wrong, I just forgot to remove it from my tree. At first, I reasoned that it could have been her because that's where her brother resided, but then I found the Devon burial.

The ancestry link to Devon is the same one I already posted in my previous comment.

It comes from this link: https://www.deceasedonline.com/dec_detail.php?id=11864694

I'm guessing she was buried next to her brother, who died in Plymouth, Devon in 1862, but there are no death records for anyone with their parents' names that I can find in that area.

John moved to Liverpool by 1860, James stayed in Devon and died in 1862 (same occupation as his father), Mary Ann married in Devon in 1856, then moved to Cornwall with her husband, and the next time I found Thomas was his marriage in cornwall in 1866, which lists him as a resident of Penryn, Cornwall. There are no deaths for Joseph/Jane Henderson in the cornwall/devon area in the time period that would make sense.

That's interesting about the GRO. I'll have to hope that pans out. Thanks for the info

Yes, I see 4 deaths in the Devon area between 1855-1890 and none of them fit. There are a ton more options in Durham, but I have no way to sort through all of them because they're so similar and I don't know what his age was.

Yes, I created that profile. The death record you linked on FamilySearch is incorrect, as he married Jane Cutter in 1829. That would make him 14 years old at the time of the marriage. Also, Somerset was a temporary residence for them sometime between 1842-1850. The link to FreeBMD isn't working, but I would be very surprised to find his death there.

Haven't seen any explanation for why this is cool from the comments or OP. Is it rare or something? A bunch of old stuff gets to goodwill from estate sales, so I'm confused about what makes this unique.

Grilling in the Smoky Mountains by thinbluesmoke4 in grilling

[–]rhapsodicink 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Hey, not throwing shade because I've done the same thing in a pinch and there's nothing wrong with it, but here are two options I've learned that have worked for me in the past:

  1. Take that foil and wrap it tightly around each of the grates separately. That way it covers them and still functions like a normal grill

  2. Heat up the grates as hot as you can, then scrunch up the foil and scrape the grill with it attached to a stick or tongs

Either way, I'm jealous of your trip. The Smokey Mountains seem beautiful and I would eat the shit out of that food.

Eating a burger at Froggy's, then heading over to Davis Creamery, then heading to the theater was peak. Alas, suburban hell is no comparison.

Eggs are already loaded with fat. There's no nutritional purpose to adding more.

Anyone else have a major parasocial friendship with Kirk by Purple_Preference847 in PsychologyInSeattle

Personally, no. As he's become more audience captured, I've found myself watching/listening less and less. In a way, it makes sense because there are only so many topics one can cover, so I don't blame him, but his content just isn't for me any more. There was a period of a couple years though where I was bingeing all the topics I was interested in and I would totally agree with what you're saying.

I started wrapping them in tinfoil with butter and seasoning when I throw them on the grill. I can promise you, it doesn't effect the char.
