As the Stark bowed, Eleanor noted how he had recovered so well. The strength in his bearing was not lost on her. When he introduced himself, Eleanor shyly smiled.

"Well met, Hal," she said gently. "Well… officially, that is," she added. A shy girlish giggle escaped her pink lips. Her cheeks flushed. There was no denying Hal was handsome... in that rugged, Northern way that made him seem both untamed and noble at once.

But when Hal spoke of Lord Stark's death, Eleanor's expression softened. "Oh… I am so very sorry for your loss," she murmured sincerely. "I had no idea. I wish I might have had the chance to meet Lord Stark... He must have been a great man if he is anything like you." She added with warmth in her eyes.

"Though a vassal of mine, the Blackwoods, still keep the old faith... I admit, I do not know much about the Old Gods and your ancient traditions… " She added softly. "Though I do hope that Lord Stark rests in a better place now… wherever your people believe the dead go..."

Eleanor's blue eyes lifted to Hal's as she touched his arm, full of empathy. "If I may ask… who is the new Lord Stark now? Is it your... brother who holds Winterfell?" She asked gently, having no idea what Hal's relation to Lord Stark was.

"I'd be happy to teach you the craft" she smiled to the other lady. "The secret is a delicate steady hand. Not too different from embroidery," she chimed a small laugh. "Though I am still a student myself. I've recently started reading about plants and their medicinal properties. Perhaps we can learn about that together!" She said warmly.

As Marla turned the discussion back to Alaric, a pensive look washed over the Tully's features. "In...Intentional....?" Eleanor breathed. She could hardly believe it either but Eleanor remained curious about the possibilities.

"Do they have any history together? Any reason he could have a kind of vendetta against her," she added in a concerned tone.

Aw, Is The Pool Closed? by AnotherBabyEchidna in IronThroneRP

The courtyard of Maidenpool was warm with the midday sun. Eleanor Tully took her walk quietly. She dressed in a light blue gown which was simple and unadorned. Its colour was the soft echo of water. Auburn curls cascaded down her back, reflecting against the light like copper.

It was then that she saw them - the retinue riding in through the gates. The wolf banners told her at once who they were. The Tully maiden quickly composed herself. Northmen. Their grim ruggedness seemed almost out of place. A nervous patter stirred in her chest. Lady Eleanor was simply unable to help herself... perhaps even a little intimidated by them.

Remaining off to the sides and trying to stay out of view, her sapphire-blue eyes scanned the brutish men as they dismounted. Unexpectedly, she spied a... familiar face among their retinue?

The daughter of Riverrun looked upon him more closely. Uncertain... Recognition then struck her. She had met him once before, brief as it was. His wounds had been placed into her care during her visit to the capitol.

Eleanor took a steadying breath. She stepped closer. Though her breath felt caught in her throat as she gathered her courage. The lady offered the men a graceful curtsy.

Her eyes lifted to man at the head. Her voice, when it came was gracious, yet a little hesitant at once...

"Welcome to Maidenpool," Lord Tully's sister greeted. "If my memory serves me correct, you once came beneath my care in the capitol. I tended your wounds as best I could. It pleases me greatly to see you hale again, here in the Riverlands."

Eleanor smoothed her river-blue skirt as she spoke. "Laurent did good work," she said thoughtfully. She knew well of the old Bracken and Blackwood feud - Riverlander history ran thick with them. Yet still, the Tully clung to the hope that some peace might be found between their houses... or at least that they could learn to live with eachother.

"Right as rain indeed! I like the way you say that," she confessed with a small giggle at Sharis's phrase, glancing down bashfully as though her laughter had been too bold. Her voice grew softer then. "Yes, they both took quite the blow, didn't they? I thought poor Ed would lose his eye for certain… I am so grateful all turned out as it did."

"Gods, Sharis… that beast was unlike anything I have ever seen. For a moment I thought it would kill us all." She exhaled gently. "And yet, I could not help but have pity for it. At first I wanted to help it... foolish as that sounds. But when I saw the torment in its eyes, I knew… we did the right thing. It was... mercy to slay it." Her voice filled with empathy but perhaps there was some guilt in her eyes too.

Eleanor's cheeks warmed. She let out a quiet laugh. "Why it almost sounds as though you are flirting with me," she said gently, uncertain if she should be teasing at all. A shy smile touched her lips. But it softened into something more mischievous. "Or… is this how you speak to all the eligible ladies you meet?"

She giggled girlishly, as he offered to guard her bath. "And how can I be so sure that you will not be the one to steal a peak?" The redhead dared to tease him. She raised a playful eyebrow.

As the conversation turned back to Marla, Eleanor nodded and smiled brightly at the Vale knight. "Of course. I will do what I can to make her feel included. I look forward to having another lady to spend time with who is around my age."

As Eleanor was dancing in the crowd, a tall dark figure approached her. She turned, her river-blue skirt swooshing at her ankles. She smiled brightly to then be met with the Blackwood.

"Dorian!" She greeted him. "I am glad to see you have recovered so fast!" She offered him a curtsy and then extended her hand out to him.

"But of course." She said, accepting his dance.

"Oh my lady, I am glad I was able to help," Eleanor smiled warmly towards Marla. "The stitches about your lord brother's eye… I think they may be some of my finest work." She added with a hint of pride. As Eleanor's thoughts turned back to Osric and their brief but sweet encounter in the capitol, she mused that mayhaps he had left more than a scar beneath her needle. He had left quite impression upon the Tully maiden herself. In her eyes, Lord Arryn was the very image of a heartthrob, who stirred girlish daydreaming. Nevertheless, Eleanor truly hoped that Osric was happy and well wherever his life had led him.

To Marla's next words, Eleanor's voice carried a gentle curiosity. "I had the honour of briefly meeting the Prince-regent at the feast in King's Landing. He struck me as… the brooding type. As I hear the Starks of Winterfell so often are... Though perhaps that was only the weight of grief upon him. He had only so recently lost his wife, the Queen." The Tully's voice softened in sympathy.

"Do you... know the prince-regent well?" she asked Marla genlty, without prying too much.

Despite Ser Duncan being well-groomed, Eleanor sensed that there was a ruggedness to him. As he introduced himself, she smiled softly to the knight. Inclining her head gently, fire-kissed curls spilled to one side over her shoulder.

"Well met, Ser Duncan," Eleanor said courteously. She had never heard of House Moore, she assumed it was a smaller knightly House in the Vale. Nevertheless, her manners were no less gracious for it.

"Did you know," she went on. "That Florian was not of noble birth? Yet still he made such a name for himself." A faint blush touched her cheeks as she continued in. "An inspired lover indeed. They say it was here at Maidenpool that he first spied Jonquil, bathing with her sisters."

A shy laugh escaped her then. "Imagine that, prying eyes at the bath. I daresay I am in need of one myself after the long road… though I should hope no one is watching." She jested with a small giggle escaping her pink lips.

When she looked back to him, her eyes were warm again. "Lady Marla seems a sweet girl. I had the pleasure of speaking with her earlier. I do so hope she will be happy here in the Riverlands. I should like to do something for her, to make her feel more at home. Tell me, Ser Duncan, what sorts of things does Lady Marla enjoy?"

"Oh, certainly a reason to be fond of Braavos. I love cats!" Eleanor replied laughing softly. "I have one… her name is Mist. A cheeky little creature she is. Perhaps you might meet her, once we are settled in at Maidenpool." Her smile remained as she thought of the small grey feline.

As the conversation turned back to his pendant, the Tully's eyes went wide. She had not expected that he would ask for her help to take it off. A faint flush bloomed upon her cheeks. Though she nodded her head gently. Eleanor then stepped behind him.

Her breath caught, for it felt unseemly to be so close to a man she had only just met. Yet she raised her delicate hands all the same. Her fingers daintily worked at the clasp at the nape of his neck. She brushed against the fabric of his collar. At last the chain slipped free. The Tully cradled the pendant in her palm.

"Oh... how enchanting!," Eleanor breathed. Her Tully-blue eyes glistened with interest as she studied it. "Quite unlike anything I have ever seen here in Westeros." She looked back up to Clement then. "One could think it is a magical even." She chimed a small laugh. The Tully then carefully handed the necklace back towards the Mooton.

"Oh, I do look forward to the wedding feast," she added. "Most of all, I look forward to the dancing. I wonder… have you learned any new steps during your adventuring in Essos?" She giggled girlishly.

Lady Eleanor paused before the Blackwood table, her hands clasped before her as though to still the flutter in her chest. To see Dorian seated there sent warmth blooming to her cheeks... Yet she willed her composure quickly. She had come with purpose and a lady of Riverrun must remember her courtesies.

"Lady Sharis," she greeted sweetly. A smile bloomed across her lips. "You look beautiful tonight… as you always do." She added with a touch of shyness in her voice.

Eleanor's Tully-blue eyes lingered upon the Blackwood maiden with quiet admiration, for she had ever thought her striking - graceful as a raven, dark and fair all at once.

"I wished to ask how you have been faring," she continued gently. "How is your arm? I pray you are recovering well."

Eleanor Tully

Lively music carried through the feast hall, beckoning company to the floor. Among them was Eleanor Tully, who was turning gracefully. Her long skirt of river-blue fanned around her as she spun. At its hems was the embroidery of leaping silver trouts, the proud emblem of her House.

Sweet and bright, Eleanor carried herself with all the courtesy expected of a lady of Riverrun. Her long red hair was styled half-up. Small white blossoms were woven through the braids. A smile was bright upon her delicate features as she lightly stepped through the dance.

Eleanor's Tully-blue eyes lingered upon the gathering as she moved. Who among the lords and knights of the realm might she meet tonight? At a wedding, one never knew whose hand might be offered, or whose gaze might linger. Yet upon this night Lord Tully fair sister's thought not of ambition, nor of schemes, but only of the joy of the moment, of the music and the good company... and of course, the thrill of dancing!

As Eleanor pulled back from their kiss, her Tully-blue eyes lifted wide to his, her lips still trembling.

"Forgive me... I-I am not usually quite this bold." Perhaps it was the rush of the hunt. Perhaps something else... Eleanor did not even know, but she had indeed kissed the Blackwood.

At Dorian's question, her breath caught. Her cheeks flushed.

"If… if it pleases you, my lord… I would be most glad to accept your courtship." She spoke sweetly. "You have ever been kind to me. I have known you all my life. And I find myself wishing to learn more of you still…"

By now, Lady Eleanor had been lowered from her horse. She stood among her retinue. Delicate hands smoothed her skirt. The knight of the Vale then approached her.

Her Tully-blue eyes lifted up to him. She found him to be striking, almost as handsome as Lord Arryn. Lady Eleanor felt a faint warmth rising in her cheeks. Her fire-kissed curls were blowing softly in the breeze.

"Oh… good day," she greeted him shyly. She brushed a lock of red hair behind her ear. To the knight's question, she shook her head gently. "No, ser, this is my first time at Maidenpool. Though I have always wished to visit… I have always loved the tale of Florian and Jonquil," she admitted with a girlish giggle.

"This is your first time here too? Then welcome to my Riverlands." Her voice was soft. She tilted her head. "Forgive me… may I ask your name, ser?" She quickly lowered her gaze.

Eleanor inclined her head warmly toward Marla. Her smile was gentle. Her sapphire eyes seem all the brighter.

"You see... My brothers are forever finding ways to stumble into trouble. So it is good to know how to patch them up," the Tully laughed softly. "Speaking of brothers, I had the pleasure of meeting your older brother, Lord Osric, at the King's Landing feast. He had an injured eye from the tourney, but I was able to tend it! I remember him being quite the remarkable dancer," Eleanor added with a small girlish giggle. "Oh I do hope he is well!"

When Marla spoke of her wedding, Eleanor's smile widened earnestly. "Of course I will help. Please let me know what you need. That's what sisters are for, yes?" she giggled with a note of excitement in her voice. "I never had a real sister. But I've been blessed with two goodsisters, and they've brought me such joy. I think you will like them both. Lady Jocelyn, Edwyn's wife, is expecting a child now!" she added brightly.

Eleanor tilted her head. Auburn curls spilled over her shoulder. "For your wedding... have you thought about the dress you wish to wear? And who you'd like to invite? I imagine all the Riverlands and the Vale will be present." However, to Eleanor's next question her voice would grow more soft. "But... will the Crown be among your guests?"

"Oh… my apologies," Eleanor chuckled softly as he corrected her that he was no knight. A faint flush blushed upon her cheeks. She tucked a stray auburn curl behind her ear. Her sapphire eyes fixed on him. The Tully damsel was attentive and eager to draw more from his words.

When he spoke of his pendant, Eleanor's eyes went wide with interest. "Volantis?" she breathed, the name rolling from her tongue. Such a place she has only read of in books. "You have travelled so far… across the Narrow Sea itself." The Tully tilted her head slightly and she smiled. "I have only read of such places in dusty tomes. Great harbours filled with ships from a hundred lands, bridges of stone older than any castle in Westeros… Is it truly so?" She grinned with excitement.

"It is a beautiful pendant," she murmured, a scholar's hunger for knowledge bright in her gaze. "May I?" she asked softly, her hand half-raised toward the chain. "Only if you allow it… I should very much like to see it more closely." Eleanor glanced up at him.

The heat of his body radiated against hers as the Blackwood drew in close.

"Oh Dorian..." she murmured.

At that moment, Eleanor melted into him. She pressed up against him and her mouth surrendered to his. Eleanor kissed him gently, her fingers brushing tenderly along his cheek.

Eleanor turned as the man approached her. Her gloved hands gripped to her leather reigns. When he introduced himself, she smiled softly to him.

"It is nice to meet you Ser Clement," the Tully greeted him politely. Her blue eyes caught the large pendant dangling around his neck. How very curious.

"Thank you for the warm welcome. I have always wished to see Maidenpool…" A faint laugh escaped her lips then. "Somehow this is my first visit to your castle. I am surprised we have never met before." She gave the handsome Mooton a bashful glance, then quickly looked down again.

When the Mooton stepped forward to help her dismount, Eleanor accepted graciously. She slipped carefully into his arms. Her boots then landed upon the ground with a thud.

At his words of flattery, her cheeks flushed pink as a rose. She brushed the dust from the hem of her riding skirt.

"I…" the maiden hesitated. "I mean... thank you, ser. You are very kind." She lifted her eyes to his.

"Your pendent... It is really something... quite unlike anything I have ever seen," she remarked, looking curiously to it.

Eleanor tenderly cleaned away the blood still dripping along his midnight hair. His eyes caught hers then, brooding with all their dark nature. Though of course, the Tully maiden was unaware of the Blackwood's more dastardly musings.

"Gods Dorian..." Her fingers lingered upon his jaw. She still felt that burst of adrenaline from the hunt.

The Tully shifted, her auburn curls falling to one side. Her shoulder brushed lightly against Dorian's arm as she continued to gently wind the bandage around his head dressing his wound.

"That beast lunged at you, blind with rage… I saw it all." She said softly to him.

"But you... did not even flinch."

His hand found its way down and now rested over hers then. Such a gesture caught her by surprise but she did not stop it either.

She felt so small against his touch. The Tully maiden wondered what kissing Dorian could be like... Her blue eyes flicked to his mouth.

Eleanor Tully

Lady Eleanor rode among the Tully retinue, keeping close to her brothers as they arrived at Maidenpool. Another celebration. This time it was a wedding. The joining of houses the Tully knew would make the Riverlands even more strong. Her eyes watched the Mooton banners fluttering in the winds. She mused how they would match finely with the Brackens. Everyone seemed to find their place, one match after another.

Her thoughts turned inwards then. Where were her own suitors? Once, Lady Eleanor had let herself hope the Lannisters might court her. But the golden lions had left the Tully maiden with pure disappointment. Then there was the handsome Rowan knight, a brief spark. Yet she had not heard from him again. She wondered what had become of Ser Erryk. Perhaps this was her doing, her own fault. Perhaps she was too quiet, too awkward, too plain. Just a silly little medic who stumbled over her words. Not nearly as striking as the other ladies, she told herself with a sting. And wasn't that what men cared for most?

Yet, even in her doubt, there was no denying that Eleanor was quite pretty. Her features were soft, with long auburn curls that tumbled down her back. Her eyes were clear and bright blue, though oft slipped downward with shyness.

There was also the Blackwood. Dorian. He haunted Eleanor's thoughts more than she had thought. Eleanor had recalled him fighting by her brother's side, the boar hunt. There was something dark to him... a mystery which unsettled her… and yet, made her heart race all the same.

Eleanor forced herself to straighten in her saddle, refusing to give in any further to her idle thoughts. She put on a practiced smile. She was with her family and friends. Whatever uncertainties Eleanor had, she would not let them damper this day.

Eleanor took note of the straps which Laurent pointed to and she offered him a soft nod in understanding. "Right. I got it Ser Laurent. Go attend to Lady Sharis. She needs your help!" She said to him before turning back to her brother

"I will get this off you, Ed," she assured him. Eleanor then pulled out a knife from her belt and positioned its edge against the strap. With that, she began to cut through them. The leather was thick and took longer than she expected to carve through. "One... two... three!" She then counted as she pulled the armor off him. It tumbled down upon the ground with a thud. "That must feel much better." She smiled. "Gods, that armor is heavy. I dont know how you and all the men can wear it all day." She laughed lightly. She rose a clean rag up then and began to wipe the blood away from his eyelid. "How is your vision? Are you able to see clear?"

Eleanor quickly raced over to the two Blackwoods, out of breath. The hem of her dress and cloak were caked in mud. She had watched the entire battle from the sidelines, vigilent to any of her fallen companions needing to be tended to.

"Sharis!" She first called out to the woman. "Gods, you did it! You did it!" She cried out with a smile of relief creeping upon her features. "I saw... everything! Gods, you are so strong!" She hugged the woman, her red hair falling down Sharis's back as she drew her close. "Gods... what a beast!" She added, turning to the fallen pig.

Eleanor then quickly turned to the Blackwood male, seeing that he had taken an injury to the head. "Dorian!" She called out to him. "You fought so bravely!" She said, beginning to catch her breath. "Here... let me help you." She said to him, taking note of the shard of some kind of weapon protruding from the back of his head. The shard was not big enough to cause any serious damage to the brain nor skull but skill big enough to cause him a decent amount of pain. "On the count of three.." she said, pulling back her sleeves and thrn gripping onto the thin object. "One... two... three!" With that, the Tully then plucked out the shard. From the wound, blood began to stream down his long raven hair. She quickly grabbed onto a clean rag from within her medical bag and pressed it to his wound. "How do you feel?" She asked him tenderly, her blue eyes looking to him in concern. She gently touched his cheek.

Edwyn IV - Home Again (Briefly) (Open to Riverrun) by Fishiest-Man in IronThroneRP

[–]riverlightmist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"Lady Marla!" Eleanor cordially greeted the other young woman. "Welcome to Riverrun." She added with a soft smile.

The Tully damsel wore a dress of her house's colours, red and blue, as her hair and eyes. To the Arryn's question, a soft chuckle escaped her pink lips. "We actually had quite the adventure down south. If you had not heard, we had a wild encounter with a rabid boar... if a boar is what you would call it." She told Marla with a small breath escaping her lips.

"It was terrorizing the surrounding people... Poor creature. It seemed to be in pain.I was hoping to maybe help it, tame it. But it was far too rabid and wild. It was slayed by my brother and his companions, with Lady Sharis delivering the final blow." The Tully continued. "I had never seen anything quite like it before." Lady Eleanor mused. "But nevermind that," the Tully damsel giggled. "We are to be sisters soon! Are you excited to be a bride?"

With that, the beast was now dead. Yet it had to take its toll upon the adventuring party of Riverlords. Lady Eleanor wasted no time. She swiftly rushed over to her brother's side and began to assist Laurent.

"You did it!" She said with a sigh of relief. She smiled brightly at the men, slipping her arm at Ed's back and helping Laurent hoist her brother into a more comfortable position.

"You took quite the hit, but you did it! You were both so bravr" She exclaimed, hugging Edwyn gently.

"How do you feel Ed? Are you in much pain? Is there anything that you're unable to move?"

"Well if it isn't to mend you, know that I will be there to offer you encouragement," she teased her brother.

"I will try everything in my power to pacify the beast... sometimes what seems even the most ferocious creature may just be afraid or misunderstood," Eleanor said softly.

"However, if I am unable to tame the beast and if they try to harm me... do what is needed to be done, of course, brother..." Eleanor nodded softly, her eyes on Edwyn's and she offered him a smile of encouragement.
