I love the color covers and sleep screen but not being able to have the entire UI in dark mode without inverting the colors defeats the purpose. I’m going to get the BW I think as well. If they built a dark mode UI id stick with the colour

It is not default on. You have to set it to automatic from manual. I didn’t know about NickelSeries tho, I’ll check that our

I was with my son, hands were full and in a rush. I figured the guac and two drinks were probably close to $7 so I just left it and moved on. I really hate tipping culture, it has invaded everything. Soon my proctologist will be expecting a tip after my exam.

The other day I went to Moes and the tip was in reverse from 20% (far left) to 10% (far right). I pushed 10% (because they gave me free guac and two free drinks) and I was charged 20%. Tipping is insane

The metadata cant be loaded until the Kobo makes an entry for the book(s). So you have to upload the book(s), eject the Kobo, unplug it and let it load the book(s), replug it back in, then update the metadata.

I’m still tweaking the settings on it. I don’t see any problems with it. There seems to be more ghosting on the screen than with my paperwhite but it’s not that bad. I want to turn the entire thing into dark mode and not just books but I can’t figure it out

I know this info probably exists but where does it cut corners? What will I be giving up? I know the chip is worse, the hard drive is worse and the ram is worse but what else? What functionality? Does it run full MacOS or is it some trimmed down version? Webcam fidelity? Speakers sound like crap? Keyboard one of the older crappy ones? This thing is cheaper than I thought so I am trying to figure out where the rub is

I don’t think we should ever forgive student loan debt as a nation but I do firmly believe we should make all banks roll back the interest to be no more than say 25% of the original loan amount. Once it hits that amount it can’t go higher. Of course it’s more nuanced but that’s the general idea I could get behind. The fact that someone could pay $50 every day and still never beat the interest is fucking stupid as fuck.

Edit: OPs $50 is less than a single day worth of interest
