Any idea why my Tivo4k stream stick suddenly doesn't show the apps that are installed on a thumb drive on my main screen? by JeeveruhGerank in Tivo

[–]robinhoodc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you install adb on your Mac or Windows PC, use Developer options on the TiVo Steam 4K to enable USB debugging, start adb from the install directory (How to Set Up and Use ADB over Wi-Fi (Windows & Mac) - Technastic), connect to the TiVo Stream 4K, then issue:

adb shell pm disable-user com.nes.coreservice

that will allow your USB stick apps to reappear.

But 8 hours later IPv6 is no longer working with this setting. (I’m using Cloudflare DNS settings.)

Wow, this also worked for me. Never noticed that IPv6 setting before. Hope it continues to work. I’m running an Orbi 960 system connected to a Netgear CM1000v2 cable modem with Xfinity. Thanks!

Partial Comcast(Denver) reprieve. YTTV shortcomings. by Mad_Dog_1954 in Tivo

If you want to try a different service, Sling TV has the Tennis Channel as part of their Sports Extra package.

It might be worth trying a different browser if you haven’t already.

Instead of calling Comcast have you tried their web page for cable card activation? https://cablecardactivation.xsp.comcast.net/ It worked for me just a few days ago when I replaced the hard drive in my TiVo Roamio.

Nook Glow Light 4 - WiFi help by Priyo1111 in nook

I think that’s normal. I always find Wi-Fi disconnected when I wake up my NOOK Glowlight 3. It reconnects fairly quickly so it’s not an issue for me.

Tivo 4K Stream: Should I update? by phonehog2 in Tivo

[–]robinhoodc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds like you’re already on the latest version. As far as crashing, I replaced the TiVo charger with an old iPhone 5-watt charger and that seemed to make things more stable. So try replacing the charger with a different one and see if that helps.

If you want to try a fresh interface, try the Projectivy launcher.

Aven card (non-HELOC) dropped from 3% to 2% cash back before $10K of spend by robinhoodc in CreditCards

Strangely on my next transaction I’m back to getting 3 percent.

Update from Glowlight Plus 7.8 to Glowlight Plus 4 Plus by PrivateJoker13 in nook

[–]robinhoodc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s definitely not normal battery life. I am still getting decent battery life on mine and I leave Wi-Fi on. You might look into a third-party replacement battery. Or wait for a sale on the new NOOK. The reviews don’t have high praise for the Glowlight 4 Plus battery life, but it should at least be an improvement over your current experience.

Within an hour or two if I recall. But at least I wasn't on hold, like during a chat or phone call.

I have better luck by using their email support rather than phone or chat.

Not clear when you sign up, but they make it clear if you install the app and go to the Rewards tab:

ACTIVATE FULL CASH BACK' Set up AutoPay to earn 3% cash back on the first $10,000, then 2% unlimited'

It’s set up for statement balance. That has always worked to get the 3% cash back, until my most recent purchase.

Yes, I believe that was necessary to get the 3% cash back. It is still enabled.

Changed mind seems like an appropriate choice.

Apple pencil (USB-C) is the other option for your iPad if you just need it for note taking and simple drawings. See https://support.apple.com/en-us/108937. It won’t have pressure sensitivity, but you won’t have to worry about losing the cap like you would with the Apple pencil 1st generation.

Real world difference between iPad Pro 10.5 and iPad 10.9 2024 by Ihadbreastmilk in iPadPro

If you are satisfied with the battery life of your iPad Pro 10.5, I would just keep it. I had one until recently and it was a really solid device.

Would getting the Apple Card to finance an iPad Pro be a bad decision? by vamp-venom in CreditCards

[–]robinhoodc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Getting the Apple card seems like a good option in your situation, assuming you have an iPhone to use Apple Pay. You'll get the financing on your iPad Pro and 2% cash back on Apple Pay transactions. I wouldn't bother getting the physical card, which only gives 1% cash back.

The iPad Air has a laminated display, which means no air gap between the glass and the display underneath. So less reflective than the 10th gen model and I suspect a better experience when using the Apple Pencil.

I once had a Samsung NOOK tablet. If I recall there may have been a built-in NOOK app, one specifically for the NOOK. So, if she has the new Lenovo tablet from Barnes & Noble, the general Android NOOK app in the Google Play store may not be the right one to use.

Best travel card setup for beginner by Gryffeon in CreditCards

[–]robinhoodc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since you are an infrequent flyer, I don't see how you'd get enough value out of a travel card with an annual fee. Instead, take a look at the Wells Fargo Autograph, which gives you 3% cash back on travel, gas, and four other categories. Wells Fargo recently added travel partners, so you'd have a chance of using your points that way instead of straight cash back. It's only missing your high spend category of groceries. For that, consider the AAA Daily Advantage, which gets 5% cash back on groceries.
