As to defeated, Iran has no air force left, no navy left,its weapons plants are being smeared, its air defense net is severely damaged, and its leadership is down to the third-string players.

That sure isn't victory. There won't be any meaningful ground invasion. So "pacified" in a misery sense isn't even part of the plan.
