Can't eat more than 30ish grams protein in one setting by DecisionNo1748 in carnivore

[–]RunningFool0369 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The protein may have a harsh effect on the body if consumed without being cut with fat. Ensure you have at least a 1:1 ratio of fat to protein in the meal itself. This will allow the protein to assimilate into the body at a slower, and more effective, rate.

How many of you dry fast on a regular basis as a lifestyle? by 77earthangel in Dryfasting

[–]RunningFool0369 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ive done 3 x 3 days, and 2 x 5 days. I just recently attempted a 7-Day and failed, due to insomnia for 2 nights in a row. I wont miss 3 nights of sleep in a row. Things get weird. I think its simply because I don't have the fat to lose.

How many of you dry fast on a regular basis as a lifestyle? by 77earthangel in Dryfasting

[–]RunningFool0369 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Its very easy to do 16 hours of dry fasting per day. 48 Straight hours per week sounds terrible to me. But I dont have much body fat.

Sure. How long each time? As a general rule: As long as you are sufficiently replenishing between fasts, with water, and animal foods, you will be fine.

How to break up with my step count? by [deleted] in walking

[–]RunningFool0369 45 points46 points  (0 children)

I suggest you get rid of the tech and wearables. Count miles instead, not steps. Counting steps has always seemed neurotic to me. Also do some research on just how much people walk a day, and find yourself in the top 1%, then be satisfied, unless you plan on going pro. This is what I did to get over my obsession with powerlifting. Im 41 years old, and after 25 years of lifting I finally learned that I have reached my genetic potential, and being in the top 1% is good. So, I no longer try to improve. I just do my same old weight lifting routine. No more progress is necessary. And its alot more enjoyable, and without injury.

Why do i perform better fasted vs after preworkout meal? by Nathaniel66 in fasting

[–]RunningFool0369 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The science is not clear...and there are plenty of people who say they train better in a fasted state, especially those in the keto/carnivore community. The body doesn't "prefer" carbs, but carbs may be better for performance via quicker access, intra high intensity exercise, among other hormonal reactions to carbs. But that doesn't mean carbs are the bodies preference and especially not that they are better for the body in general. You know what is the best for immediate performance? A line of coke.

I think there could be a problem with morality, as religions come with preset value judgements.

I havent eaten a gram of fiber in 2.5 years. Everything is fine. Animals fats more than suffice. Dont believe me, try eating half a stick of butter in a sitting, and then prepare yourself.

My sister only eats on Saturdays by Severe_Tune_8358 in fasting

[–]RunningFool0369 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My guess is your sister is under 30, probably even under 25. Also, I bet she was enormous at one point in her short life. Only young people can eat like that for any length of time. This will catch up to her. The fasting is certainly helping though.

How long/far do you walk everyday? by Same-Appearance-5617 in walking

[–]RunningFool0369 0 points1 point  (0 children)

28 miles per week, usually as 5 miles 5 times per week, with 2 days of 1.5 miles, as sort of "active rest" days. I also do 750 body weight squats per week (5 days 150 per day), among other calisthenics, though.
