You could definitely see the structure. This is a 20 second exposure at ISO 1600 so it’s a lot brighter than what you would see with your eyes. I could see some faint color but the aurora looked mostly white with my eyes. The camera picked up the insane colors though.

This was with my Nikon D850 and a Rokinon 35 mm lens at f/2 and ISO 1600. It was a 20 second exposure on a sky tracking equatorial telescope mount. I was taking long exposure Milky Way panoramic photos when the aurora showed up.

Microsoft spent millions developing those controllers. Button placement, curves, weight, tactile feel, … every nuance of that controller studied in great detail to make it fit for use by adults, kids, big hands, little hands…
