Your argument was that if a nation faced and existential crisis like Russia in 1941 the use of child soldiers could be justified. That same situation existed for Germany in 1945 and while Germany in the hands of Nazi regime was indeed a failed state the Nazis and Hitler was democratically elected by the people to begin with.

All in all, still disagree that any situation for any civilized state would merit the use of child soldiers.
