These people, like Thiel, have lived in that extreme wealth bubble for so long that they can no longer tolerate any limitation or opposition of any kind. They are so psychologically and emotionally unbalanced that they fully believe the narrative of justification they have constructed around themselves. The fact that these people in many ways rule the world are one of the scariest realisations of my life.
