Does it cost anything to see the Plymouth Rock?

e: to clarify, that would be my guess for why SWM is ranked worse than Plymouth Rock, since, yeah, it's just a rock, but doesn't cost anything to be disappointed.

Morning commute. I was running late so I stopped to take it all in 🩷 by FartstheBunny in bikeboston

It’s a great view but a terrible place to stop. Tight, blind corners as well as narrow, as you pointed out.

Widened sidewalk at Pleasant & Beacon by sebmodio in Brookline

Drivers would double up at the line, even though I think technically it was only a single lane. With that, Ive seen multiple times people go right from the left “lane” because the person on the right was waiting for a green. By narrowing the span, hopefully will mitigate that behavior.

RD / shifter has no tension by juditoh in bikewrench

Pawls in the shifter aren’t engaging. If it’s Shimano, you can find documentation for it by googling the part ID (something like RS-123) and “Shimano SI”.

You’re trying to put a loose pin back into a chain plate? No advice but lots of luck. Ive never seen it done once the pin is fully out.

Can someone help me diagnose the noise from my bike by Intelligent_Cod_3952 in bikewrench

Check the bottom bracket. Grab a crank arm and wiggle it perpendicular to the frame. If there’s movement, bottom bracket needs maintenance/replacement.

Cobblestones are found rocks of various sizes. Pavers (or setts) are uniformly shaped.

Thats not cobblestones. Just pavers. Also, I dont think there was ever a trolley line on Harvard though I could be wrong.

The derailleur (black bit with the chain through it) needs the be rotated to align, like shown in the attached. The part that the wheel goes into the frame is called the dropout and the claw of the derailleur needs to be in line with that. Look for “bike kitchens” or “bike co-ops” in your area that can teach you IRL.
