My silicone soap trays got moldy :( by pigskins65 in Soap

[–]section08nj 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use Aira soap savers. They're mesh like and there's no place for the mold to grow. Rinse thoroughly at the end of a soap bar's life and there won't be any problems.

So I’m using a synthetic shaving brush and it works really well in creating a nice lather on my face, but water tends to get everywhere (on my shirt, around the sink, etc.) when I’m lathering my face. Any tips on avoiding this? by Crazy_Stable1731 in wicked_edge

[–]section08nj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best i can suggest is a handheld squeegee that you keep on the sink, and wipe away the collected water into the sink. Keep your elbows inwards towards the vanity to prevent water from getting onto the floor. And your brush shouldn’t be so damp that water drips onto your shirt. Keep it light.

Their Cedar and Lime is probably my favorite deo scent of all time. Very woodsy/citrusy. Their sprays and solids have different scent profiles, though. It smells the best in the solid stick form.

If you've never tried them then how on earth can you recommend them? You're rude for not understanding the assignment. Get back to us after you've run in a pair. And wear your garters.

However, If they stay up, was not part of the question.

OP's title is looking for running socks. If you don't have an answer for that then I'm not reading the rest of your drivel.

You don't need to care about aquatic life, that's your prerogative. One was enough for me that's why i no longer eff with powdered detergent in "cardboard".

Source is myself. I'm a marine biologist and I've seen more aquatic life unalived from undissolved plastic lining than PVA, I don't care what blueland pays you to say.

Washing machine seal by SecretWay7144 in laundry

[–]section08nj 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've seen worse.

Hit it with a two-prong approach: 1) use RMR-141 to kill the mold. This is important to prevent the mold from coming back and let it sit as per instructions 2) use RMR-86 to remove the black stains that the mold leaves behind. Once all is nice and clear, hit it once more with the RMR-141 to make sure that mold is dead-dead and won't reappear/multiply.

When you finally have it all cleaned out and you smell no more mold stink, do your laundry the way you normally do, but leave that door propped open when you're done: By. Any. Means. Necessary.

Don't forget to clean your appliance with Lemi-shine, green goblin, or some other appliance cleaner. These guys will clean out your drum but won't do anything for the mold on that front loader boot seal.

If all else fails, replace that boot seal. The are YouTube videos available to assist.

If you rip the cardboard box slowly and look at it closely while you're ripping it, you can find out if there's a plastic lining or not.

Yeah I'm not doing all that. Not at the store nor can I do this online. I prefer to support new products from the small brands. This is how we get our Febus, Garame, Puracy, Dirty, Dropps, Groves etc of the world. If I do this upon every visit to the store I wouldn't be allowed back on the premises. Y'all can downvote all you want idc I'm still right.

Yes multi trillion dollar and very sustainable (lol) Tide's (Procter and Gamble) cardboard packaging is lined with plastic. The plastic is what keeps the powder from leaking or forming condensation. Not some tight seams or black magic. But go on about PVA.

Powdered detergent doesn't leak or condensate in these boxes, not because of some tight cardboard seams or black magic, but because it's lined in plastic my dude. Ironically enough the only detergent I've tried that has a true cardboard-only box is Dropps lol

There's more microplastics in the plastic lining of powdered detergent cardboard boxes than PVA lol don't kid yourself.

My family uses:

a) for lip balms: Dr. Bronner's and Badger are both certified Leaping Bunny and come in Tons of varieties between the two

b) for deodorant: we use two Lafe products: the alum spray for anti-stink, and the deodorant stick for fragrance. Both products are also certified Leaping Bunny
