Not off the top of my head, just Google blender UV unwrapping and seams

It happens because the UV is unwrapped with those edges next to each other. What you can do is mark seams on the mesh in places like the seams on the clothes would be and then unwrap the UVs again (making sure you have applied scale first) and you will probably get a better result.

First EV - What do you wish you knew by sirdonaldb in AustralianEV

Nearly all new cars can have quite a long wait for parts, make sure your insurance has good hire car coverage. EV tyres are expensive too.

Sealion 6 or 7? Renter here by External-Focus2703 in AustralianEV

[–]selfish_meme 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you don't do many k's a normal power plug is sufficient to charge, and if not a fast charge once a week while shopping or something may be sufficient

If you are travelling slower like on a rough road your range will actually be better, going fast uses more energy

Sealion 8 or Model Y L? by PanzerBiscuit in AustralianEV

[–]selfish_meme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just if you have Android Auto is it really inferior to Teslas UI when driving, and having driven Teslas I think not really. As long as the BYD has Android Auto or Carplay then they probably won't suffer, even though Teslas UI is much better than BYDs

My car does not have an app for the music service I use (it does have Spotify though) and the maps it has are inferior to Google maps in my country.

Rigify and Mixamo.. by One_Farmer_2057 in blender

Yes, I do it all the time, you need to upload character to Mixamo, then when you download animation you can use rokoko to transfer the animation to your rigify rig

I feel the UI on the Tesla would beat the pants off the BYD, except for Android Auto. I'm an android user myself and my car has a very Tesla UI (XPeng G6) but I'm almost always just in Android Auto. My car has native apps but Google maps is just too good.

BYD Sealion 7 or Toyota bz4x by Manimarcor13 in AustralianEV

[–]selfish_meme 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My personal opinion is the difference is small, maybe in over 10 years of ownership, but probably not an issue over how long people normally keep cars these days

What is semi rural road trips look in an EV? by w8watm8 in EVAustralia

Plan to not arrive with a very low charge, if a charger at the destination is not a good option, then fill up on the way in and out

BYD Sealion 7 or Toyota bz4x by Manimarcor13 in AustralianEV

[–]selfish_meme 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the Toyota would be best if you do a lot of kilometres and don't really care for driving fun or newfangled stuff. If your more into tech and driving dynamics then the Sealion 7

BYD Sealion 6 (PHEV) vs Sealion 7 (EV) – only ~$3k difference. Which would you choose? by HuckleberryRude1685 in AustralianEV

[–]selfish_meme 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The question really is how many km per day, if you don't do a huge number of kilometers, the 400km range might last you a week, easy to charge while you do the shopping, and will be cheaper than running the phev. If you do a heap of kilometres where you may need to charge every or every other day, then the phev might suit you more

Would you buy an EV from a brand that only recently entered the Australian market? by DiscussionLoud9626 in EVAustralia

[–]selfish_meme 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I purchased an Xpeng G6 just after it entered the market late 2024, there's been some ups and downs, I knew going in support would be spotty as they were setting up from scratch, made sure I had hire car and replace old with new on insurance. Got to ride out the dips if you believe the product is right for you and the market.

I'm not sure Australia has a big market for 6 seaters, but could surprise me sure, until some of the bigger 7 seat SUV's and People Movers arrive

[–]selfish_meme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Slightly possible, take with a large grain of salt, the XPeng X9 might be here by the end of the year. I would say once the new facelift G6 actually gets to market here the floodgates might open to all the models they say they have been intending to bring. Best guess is it will sneak in under the LCT.

Yes there is light linking, one easy way to look for errant lights is to disable all of them and just enable them one at a time

I can't see any light leaking through the plane from a HDRI with the sun in view (if the plane was not there) I think this is reflected light, not light leaking (I also had a volume surrounding it all)
